We were supposed to practice my driving today, esp. the tricky test they do in addition to driving...

But I'm not sure that's going to be possible with an inch of snow on the ground and it still falling ^^;

So, I think today I'm going to be deliciously lazy, and do nothing but write and drink coffee.

Holy shit! How did this snow thing happen?

That sounds like an awesome day. ^__^ I'm going with cocoa and writing myself. Don't know how much I'll get done -- I'm house sitting, but they scheduled a painter to come in and do the ceiling in the living room. ^__^;;

::curious:: What tricky test do they do in addition to driving? Parallel parking?

no, it's this whack manueverability thing, I just can't spell that word so I was avoiding it. Involves navigating cones in very particular ways and if you fuck up too much it's autofail.

Am slowly typing up what I have written, but Sarah's fsking cat keeps interfering.

It's to emulate parallel parking, supposedly. To this day I can't parallel park, though . . . .

*failed that part her first time*

Good luck with the writing (and the driving when you are able to do it)

Ahahaha, really? That is kind of awesome, even if it's probably a ring of hell in its own right. The worst thing I had to do for my road test was parallel park, and then the guy who was in the car with me helped -- called it a 'learning test' or something.

Heh, I'm carving out a place to work. It's kind of amazing the lack of leg room/other space I have around this keyboard. ^__^;;

Yes, yes, let's not try tricky driving for the first time in snow... Though, I just have to say... SNOW!!!!! You have no idea how much I miss snow. Reall honest to goodness snow. Seattle is one of those places where we generally get just enough to go ooh, pretty! and for school and work to be out because the whole damn state isn't very good at dealing with snow and the roads. And then it goes away, because it warms up and rains again. Ah, the lovely Puget Sound. I cannot wait to get back to the East coast.

(As a disclaimer, I did just move to an area more notorious for snowfall, and live in the middle of BFE on a road that is really steep and in bad conditions will be downright treacherous... so being snowed in is a total possibilty... but, as my luck goes, the snow usually goes where I am not.)

Damn you and your wonderful sounding days!

Oh yeah? Well, when I get off work tonight, the rum is coming out, that's all I can say. Take that!

XXXHolic!! SQUEEEEEEE!!!!!! Your new layout rocks. Are you a Watanuki/Domeki slash fan? Remember the badges I gave you last year? I actually commissioned one of Watanuki/Domeki from them. It's wonderful, it has bento and flailing ^_^

Okay. Fangirling is done.

I never had to do anything like that in my driving test. Maybe because you don't parallel park much in San Jose.

All these new backgrounds are so surprising and yet so awesome. It's like a little happy surprise just waiting for me to click on it. ...Yeah, I'm tired as heck and it's making me strange.

So...do you support Fai/Kuro and Watanuki/Domeki?(Oh, wait, someone already asked that, didn't they? Oops.) Eh heh. Go CLAMP?

Fai/Kuro and Watanuki/Domeki are very very high on my OTP list ^__^ I luffs them like a true sick sad fangirl.

If you are doing reasonably well driving then this is when you should be out practicing in lonely but plowed areas.
It was said that if you were able to drive competently on the behind the wheel part during the driving test when the weather was bad, you were almost guaranteed to pass.

I'm from Cleveland and I share you'r pain on manuverability.

The key is to use your mirrors and aim for the back cone caddycorner to where you entered (ie leftback if you went right and viceverse) and the cone directly behind you. Does that make sense?

In Ravenna we had to do it on an incline and its -5 everytime you touch the break....
