Man, I hate when a story is hard enough I actually have to do outlines and crap. I'm so much more a throw yourself in type person. None of this planning shit PSHAW I SAY.

Except, Bound is rather more complicated than I tend to do (that is to say, everyone loves to tell me how easily they figure EVERYTHING out and depress me a tad, and I am hoping maybe I will not be told that fifty million times this go round).

Evil evil outlines. My mind doesn't work this way.

It’s okay? I’m glad I’ve never attempted a multi-chaptered anything, and I’m glad you’re willing to try. ♥ It means more stuff to read and there haven’t been anything to read lately. For suffering such evils, you get this (http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,23509452-2,00.html) insanely random article, if you haven’t seen it yet. ^_^ (Two-faced girl is very two-faced. Welcome to the rest of the world?)

One of the reasons I find it hard to complete any story, particularly a lengthy one, is I get swept up in figuring everything out. :\ Cuz they're so complicated!

Right now I've converted one of my unfinished stories to a D&D campaign, and it has actually really helped me to figure some of the plot out. O_o;

Aha, that's an awesome way to figure out the plot. I just sit and stare into space, and occasionally jot things down, until I have enough to format a proper outline and notes.

To quote a friend of mine: "(Fill in the blank) IS FOR THE WEAK!!!"

In your case, and most probably mine, it would be: PLANNING IS FOR THE WEAK!!!

Or the square. And I, for one, am totally an octagonal prism.

...I is not acting strangely because I'm tired because I stayed way too late last night. Not me. *slinks off*

I feel your pain. I never plan anything. Maybe that's why I'm so bad at essays.

Me, I'm of the opinion that planning always helps. Because in a complicated story with complex characters, there's always the one wise-ass who will want to deviate from the subject, and you have an outline to stick to and direct said idiot towards (even if this leads to some changes in the initial plans). *pointed look at own wise-ass Prince of Demonis*

At any rate, "everyone" should just shut up and stop depressing you, because we all know you do excellent work and not everything is easy in this world, let alone writing. *hugs*

I'm a little OCD when it comes to writing. o.o If I don't know everything, I feel like I can't write it. Which is retarded, I know. *headdesk*

The one I converted? I've realized that there's a god involved, and have now added evil characters. Yay. Right? Right. :p

That's kind of neat. I'm so used to being the last to know what's going on, it's more frustrating when I have to know it all ahead of time. Probably why I usually do better in the short story-novella range.

Evil characters are always yay.
