I wanted to smack the woman that said that's what's on everyone's mind in regards to Troy. Yes, he's cool. Yes, it's got elf-boy in it. Freakin' whee. Personally I think it's hella cooler that it's Troy. I love all the greek stories, and despite the teachers I had in HS I still managed to keep my love of the the Illiad and Odyssey - though I haven't read them quite as extensively as my sister Sammie. Eye candy is nice, but that's not my driving motivation to see the movie (unlike Helsing, where the eye candy was the only reason I wasn't mad about losing eight bucks).

Also while channel surfing, stumbled across a new Beastie Boys MV. Almost forgot how much I love those boys. Need to see if I can download their cd's somewhere, seeing as I didn't bring my cd's with me.

Completely unrelated, I got bored and changed my lj colors a bit.

I like these colours... they are hot bitchtasm colours. Although I'm a little blurry in Vision Land right now, so they're a little overwhelming.

And I watched the trailer for Troy this morning. Um, I definitely think the horse needs to be somewhere in the credits. How is it that the horse is taking such a small role in this shitasm?

w/e it looks like a good movie... but Nana wants to see VanHellsing very badly. Hot Hugh Jackman... not hot red man, but he'll do for now.

Please tell me that Nana's not looking for actual intellectual entertainment in Van Helsing. We laughed our asses off the whole way though. ;)

Nah, my Queen (Nana) is just looking to eyeball Hugh Jackman.

No, if I was looking for actual intellectual entertainment, I would see "Darkness Falls" again... that was really stimulating.

I'm not looking for intellectual stimuation... I'm looking for Hugh Jackman stimulation. :P

. . .

Might I recommend Prince of Darkness for when you do look for intellectual entertainment again? Perhaps In the Mouth of Madness?

By the way, I noticed Aragorn himself, Viggo Mortensen, was the drill sergeant in GI Jane? I watched enough to see that, then I changed the channel. Let me check something, wow, he was Lucifer in The Prophecy and also some guy in Young Guns II (so he was 11 years younger than in LOTR). Guess I know what I need to watch again.

He's done a much better job with his movie carrer so far (Hidalgo!) than Hugh. But, you do get to see Hugh shirtless in Van Helsing which is probably a plus for you ^^

All I could do was shout, "No, no, that shot is all wrong!" Like a total film geek.

"I see you bitch!!!" *wooshing flame o'death*

that movie cracked me up. I was sure we'd get kicked out of the theatre for being so loud.

I caught the last 15 minutes of Swordfish last night, starring Hugh Jackman. It was amusing. Have no idea about the rest of the movie though.
