Aug. 12th, 2004 07:50 pmOne of these days I'm going to make a note of the watches I pick, then go to a Dakota kiosk and laugh at the mark ups. I think about dumb things like this while I'm working. We have to go through a metal detector to get in/out, so I also amuse myself by devising ways a person could succeed in stealing something. It would actually be pretty hard, b/c of all the cameras. But it's funny to think about, mostly because I imagine all these really goofy scenerios...Anyway. Some of the watches are really snazzy, others make me think "who the fuck in their right mind would wear this?" Others look like a knight misplaced pieces of his armor. What's sad is that the watch I like most is this snazzy HP watch in the kids' section.
I'm starting to garner odd looks. Part of it is that when certain songs play on my discman, I am compelled to enjoy them. Usually in my room I'd be dancing like the huge dork at I am. I tone it down at work, but I still keep getting laughed at XP And I was listening to Chamber of Secrets and kept cracking up. Especially when the twins appeared. And I kept muttering (I always realize I'm doing it too late). I already am noticing things I never noticed before. And I'm particularly interested in Chamber b/c Rowling said that book was more or less the key to everything. And Dobby beating the shit out of himself is amusing, even if that makes me a horrible person.

Sammie reminded me the Opening Ceremonies are Friday! And Saturday is the swimming! Thorpedo!!! I love to watch the swimming in the summer olympics. I miss competitive swimming; gods it was so much fun. I used to do all the freestyle sprint races, and the relays. Man those were fun. The American team this year is apparently going to give the Thorpedo a run for his money. Can't wait! I usually don't care for watching sports beyond hockey. But the Olympics swimmers? Rock my world.
My room is a sty. I'm getting to the ackcan'tbreathemustcleannow stage. So I'll probably do that Saturday, if my lovely Gomes isn't around to distract me (Gomi I miss you!!! *cries*).
I think that's enough rambling for now. Glad it's almost Friday. My weekend schedule so far is: Sleep, clean, sleep, oggle swimmers, sleep, sleep. Maybe throw in "eat" somewhere.
