And yet, here I sit, drinking Coke. I'm surprised I have any insides left. Of course, I drink it when I'm sick, so I'm possibly doing more damage, so I shouldn't rationalize.
I have nothing to say about coke, as I don't drink fizzy stuff much. But I would wager a part of the ability to clean is the fact that Coke and Diet Coke are two of the most highly carbonated beverages out there (at least in the opinion of my throat).

No, I did not. I dismembered frogs and took copious amounts of notes and fended off the Asshat Gary Mincola. I never did experiments involving Coca Cola.
All I know is that Coke is the number one solvent recommended by mechanics for cleaning battery acid corrosion in your car. Which works, by the way.. I had to try it. I have also heard, but not tried, that tossing a can of coke in the laundry will clear up some really impossible stains.
And yes, I will continue to drink the stuff with relish. Hooyah!
