Am turning my computer off - shocking! for to attempt surgery and put in the new cd drive my darling, wonderful beloved Father has mailed to me (and paid thirty bucks in shipping, for which he is going to die b/c I told him NOT to overnight it. do fathers ever listen to their daughters? XP).

Let's hope I do this correctly and don't wind up fucking my comp up completly *crosses fingers*

Installed...I'm sure I hooked everything up. But now I have no sound at all...not even static...*headdesk*
