Yaoi con - Part the First
Nov. 2nd, 2004 08:11 amSo. It's well established that S and I can't go anywhere without some dipshit motorist trying to kill us. And that tradition held true this time - at four something in the morning Dipshit decided not to merge when he was supposed to, and instead waited until too fucking late and nearly ran into us getting into the lane. That was fun.
But afterwards everything went rather smoothly, at least until we reached Atlanta (we went from Dayton to Atlanta, then to SF). We grabbed a quick lunch and oggled sailors for a good half hour then hopped onto our next flight...and proceeded to sit there for two hours because of a small problem with a fuel line. You should've seen S do the double take for that one.
On a sidenote, why do I always travel with people who don't like to fly? It's kinda funny, given that I love and adore flying. Sarah? Not so much...
Anyway. Sat for two hours with the Old Ladies From Hell. I'm not kidding. They were heinous. Luckily they were also impatient and ten minutes before the fuel line problem was solved, they decieded to leave to find another flight. The entire plane rejoiced. I'm not even kidding. It also freed up a large chunk of plane so we could all stretch out and get comfy.
Finally arrive in SF, encountered another Y-con goer and all three of us went to Japantown. And I now own all of God Child, even though she did kill my man (who killed himself and died in the arms of the man who loved him, omg why do I read this woman? I hate angsty stories that start out sad and end with my heart breaking but I Can't. Stop. Reading.)
Of course all the real fun starts on Saturday. S and I aren't very good conners - we spend more time either in seclusion or snarking at the other conners. And dude - some of these people you couldn't tell they were at least eighteen.
But now I have to get ready for work (ugh, want bed) and eat something b/c I'm starting to feel sick. Shall have the interesting stuff tonight
And ye gods, how the fuck am I ever going to catch up on Nanowrimo? Am doing Kidnapped, btw. This late in the game? I'm more confident of that one than I am of Butterfly. So you lot will be forced to read about Sean, Mendel, Cyan, and Einn. I know, I know. Try not to hate me too much.

Date: 2004-11-02 02:18 pm (UTC)Good luck with Nano. I love pretty much everything you write, so I have no problem with any sort of story you want to write. *purrs*
Me, I wanted to go to Anime USA but ended up not because I was so freaking busy. Oh well, such is life.
Welcome back!
