I will never eat toast again

Okay, friend gives me a link to a rather amusing response to a flame. That is irrelevant but it sets the scene. I asked my friend what she was doing on a website pertaining to hanson fanfiction, and she explained that a friend of her's had stumbled across after reading a bad harry potter fanfic. Okay, harmless enough. My friend sends me the link for the bad h.p. fic for fun, and I decide to read it.

Now, I mean no disrespect to the writer whatsoever. If she (or he?) ever comes across this post, I humbley apologize for hurting his or her feelings, bashing the story, whatever. But I read all manner of fics, from the silly, fluffy ones to the plot heavy, complicated ones to the pwp's and anything that falls between. It's hard to scare me.

I am utterly traumatized by this fic. There are no words to describe to you how...numb...I was after reading it. Suffice to say I have threatened my friend with severed bodily harm for foisting the story upon me.

the post of lj friendskylark bizarrely inspired within me a desire to bake. So I made chocolate chip cookies, something I've always liked to make (and which my family devours at a somewhat frightening rate).

Hmm...looking back at my last post, it occurs to me I don't seem the nicest person. My intention realy wasn't to go "oh oh, found a bad fic!" so much "I need to write about this or I won't sleep." People are welcome to write whatever the hell they want, I try not to judge (seriously). My point was mostly that the fic traumatized me, in much the same manner someone else might say "it made me cry" or "I died laughing."

I doubt anyone else cares, but I read it and felt that I seemed a trifle bitchy and "better than thou art." Maybe it was just me.
