Wow have I been gone awhile. I knew it would happen though-as my friends oft mention in mocking tones, I play a VG and it's basically "Reality? What is this thing of which you speak?" for me.

Suiko III freakin' rocks my world though-we've been playing for days and I think we may only just be approaching the half way point. It's been one long string of "What the Fuck???" I love it! Lately games have been both too predictable and too short. There's plenty to discuss with this game, but I'll save that entertaining (and lengthy) dialogue for another day. All I'm saying now is that A) They'd better not kill my character and B)Pesmerga had better make his appearance soon (which will undoubtedly happen, for where there is Yuber there is invariably Pesmerga - does anyone else know what I'm talking about? Gomes and Ang can stop laughing now, btw)

To shift topics completely, my brother and I were reminiscing betweeen comments on the game. Some of my happiest memories are of school, so these are what I often relate in such discussions. But one of my fondest was waking up to see that my friends/roomies had made breakfast for me...lord knows I seldom deserve such treatment, I'm one of the moodiest people in the world. And when I'm pissed, it's pretty hard not to tell. But that breakfast really made me happy. It may seem silly, but to me it was one of the coolest things anyone has ever done for me.

Bleh, I really need to get my sleeping hours straightened out. I get really weird when I don't sleep. Yee gods, I used to yell at gomes for doing this shit. How does she do it?

does anyone else love these as much as I do. we had a gorgeous one this evening, you seldom see them as perfect as that. it started slow, just rumbling thunder and faint lightening in the distance. then the sky grew gradually darker, both from the increasingly late hour and the gathering clouds. I sat on the porch to watch it.

Most of the sky was dark, but right along the skyline it was still a fusion of reds, pinks, and purples. My entire street was dark except for a few street lights, one of which was flickering. The thunder was powerful enough to shake everything, you could feel it rumbling in your chest. The lightening was a mix of sharp bolts that almost looked blue at times, and the flashes that bath everything in light for just an instant. When it's gone, everything appears to be much darker than before. Next the rain starts, soundless and noisy all at once. Mixed with the rain and thunder was the sound of one cicada from the tree in front of the house. Everything seems so still in the midst of the storm, and the air is that perfect shade of cool. For once there's no humidity.

I never grow tired of watching storms. My books and a good cup of coffee are the only things I love more in the world.
