The first reason I noticed the show was that I've always had a thing for the mathgeek guy (David something; I'm horrible with names) since he played Bernard in The Santa Clause (I'm fully aware this probably makes me somehow sad or pathetic). And I love geeks, especially mathgeeks because they understand something that I will never get. Why that draws me, I don't know. Maybe it's my snotty academicness not wanting to have to compete with someone >_>
Plus it's a crimeshow, for which I am your usual sucker. And it's suitably fun and cheesy and wholly unrealistic as all good crimeshows should be.
But I would be lying if I said that while watchinging the first preview I didn't immediately think of the possibilities for brotherslash. Yes, I know that makes me a corrupt, perverted person ^_~ But I also know I'm in good company ^_^
So the first ep was fun, though of all the crimes to sensationalize I wish they wouldn't pick rape. Still, at least they didn't try to preach and blah blah blah. I think my favorite part was how understated all of that was - they focused on the investigation and not on the SO HORRIBLE AND WRONG aspect.
This is turning rambly, isn't it?
Anyway, the regular time is 10:00 pm on Friday nights, which means I can actually watch it. It's also the first time I've been actively interested in a TV show since I had to stop watching Good Eats. Clearly it's destiny that I watch this show and think inappropriate thoughts.
Now I am off to bed.
