Nothing like wind blowing so hard it sounds like a freakin' jet to make the day interesting.

It is a weird, weird day. The weather is bad but not, like it's just waiting until we let our guard down and the BAM, there goes our house...

If I don't get a thunderstorm out of this, I'm going to be severely disappointed.

In other news, somebody tell my stories to do what I tell them. Not make up shit and not tell me until I've typed it out...(does that ever happen to anyone else?)

All the time. Then, instead of listening to me, they usually start running with it. Sometimes I'm able to tie what gets written back into what I planned. Most times, I get to throw my carefully constructed plot out the window and see where it's going.

The goal is to finish at least one of these by Monday. I'm currently working on The Knight and the Statue (which is probably the one that will get finished) but I periodically switch over to The Knight and the Hunter.

Did I also tell you I'm getting overwhelmed by fairytales? I want to work on yours but in addition to that I have rewrites for 12 Dancing Princesses, Hansel and Gretel, and The Little Mermaid driving me insane. And the one for maile. MAKE THEM STOP. The racket is starting to give me a headache.

But. Weekend = Knights.

Didn't we once discuss the 12 Dancing Princesses thing? And I thought you started something with the gingerbread house once, then stopped? Are you still using that idea or a new one?

*patpatpat* Try focusing on your breathing and just counting breaths? Deep breaths, if you can. Close your eyes, sit somewhere dim, hopefully with soothing sounds in the background, and just focus on your breathing. It's supposed to be relaxing. ^^;;;; (Although generally it works better when coupled with other relaxation techniques?)

Twelve keeps changing. I think I like what I've come up with this time. Gingerbread has changed slightly, but it's basically the same idea.

Actually, eating helps a lot. *rolls eyes* And yes, the breathing thing helps a lot. I used to do it in school.

See, my characters are completely in control of my (supposedly MY) stories, so I'll often find myself typing up a scene and then suddenly realize that it completely contradicts what I just wrote! Yet every time I try to change, I either find that I liked it better that way, or my characters completely switch the story again later!

No, the best part is when they insist on having another character enter, one whom I was not aware existed before I wrote him or her. Argh.

Anyway, fiction? Will there be something done soon? *puppy dog eyes*

Oh, yes. New characters are the best part. Regan did that to me in Rainbow. I had no idea he existed until he wrote that letter to Bastion.

Heh. There should be at least one new story by Monday - the second of the Knight stories I've been working on.

I usually can't throw my concentration off my surroundings enough to really relax. ^^;;; The best I can do is focus on things happening in my head, like my characters, to unfocus from environmental changes.

*raises hand* I often don't figure out a character's motivation until somewhere near the end of the story when he finally decides to let me in on it. And I never plan a plot twist. They just happen. I don't know how or why; they just do.

Stupid stories, growing minds of their own. I'd hate them if I didn't love them so much.
