On the Lawsuit Front
Apr. 7th, 2005 08:17 amGuy called me this morning to catch up on some details. Says that from today we should here in a week to ten (business) days how things stand. He can't imagine why they wouldn't settle.
Only downside is that he says they'll want some money this month. That normally wouldn't be a problem except that the other credit service I'm working with has said that since I've done so well and all they're willing to settle - if I pay them $900.00+ this month, they'll call it quits. So I agreed.
Which means I have like very little fundage for the entirety of April. Jeez, this is going to be a loooong month. But I can most definitely deal with that. I just need to scrounge up $150.00-$200.00 from what little remains of my paychecks so that I have something to offer Columbia at the end of this month.
Man, I won't even get to enjoy my paycheck tomorrow before it's just gone. But hey, it just means I'm that much closer to financial semi-freedom.
It was funny. The guy was asking about my other costs, and we got to my student loans. I laughed and said "You don't want to hear that number" and then told him. There was a pause, then he was like "Wow, that is a lot of money."
And it looks like the rain's stopped.
