The correct answer is not "yes."
Nov. 6th, 2003 11:32 pmOkay,
skylark97 has already heard this rant from an earlier conversation, but it keeps happening more and more often that it warrants repeating. When you call our pizza place we ask for your phone number, and next we ask "Would you like pick up or delivery?"
What is the reply? "Yes."
It gets better (this happened to a driver, he told me the story).
Driver: (after getting the "yes" answer. Did you want to come get it or have us take it to you?
"Yes."
"Ma'am, did you want to come pick your pizza up in the store, or did you want us to carry it out to you?"
"Oh, you can bring it me."
And we had three bastards trying to con free food tonight. This one guy called and said "I ordered a pizza yesterday, but it wasn't cooked all the way."
"Oh? We can remake it for you, what's your phone number? Okay...Sir, this says your last order was on Oct. 28th"
"Oh. Well I called yesterday."
"No, sir. You did't"
"Oh, nevermind."
And people wonder why I never want to leave the house. Honestly.
