I guess this needs a title, yeah?
Sep. 20th, 2005 01:13 pmI'll have to think on that. Don't know enough about it yet, really
(Pardon errors)
"That looks uncomfortable."
Robin tensed, then slowly opened his eyes. Turned his head despite the pain caused by the ropes that chaffed with his every movement. His vision wasn't so great anymore, not after hours of...strain. Because he hadn't been crying. Boys didn't cry. Blinking a few times cleared his vision enough he could sort of mostly see the stranger who had entered the temple.
Black clothes, covered with travel dust. They hung like maybe they were a bit wet. A wide-brimmed hat hid his face from view, but the voice that continued to speak was deep, almost warm despite the amusement filling it. "Really uncomfortable. A bit awkward, yeah? Why are you tied up like that?"
Figures his only chance of rescue would be a damned idiot. "I'm a sacrifice," Robin answered.
The stranger shook his head, hat flopping. "I dunno. I were the sacrifice? I'd be demanding a comfortable chair, nice glass of wine..."
Robin decided he was dreaming. No way was this conversation, if you could call it that, real. He'd finally lost it. Which was something of a relief, really. If he'd lost his mind, maybe he'd miss the part of the sacrifice where he died a painful death.
Well, it was probably painful. No one had assured him otherwise. Of course, they hadn't bothered to tell him he was a sacfice until they started dragging him off.
He realized the stranger was still speaking. "...Anyway, would you like me to untie you? I'm sure you'd like to stretch a bit, maybe eat."
"What?" Robin couldn't think of anything else to say.
The stranger laughed. "Would you like to cut loose?"
"Yes. Who are you?"
"Just passing through to retrieve a couple of things." The stranger drew a knife from his knee boot and stepped up to the altar.
X_x ack. boss here. got to go.

Date: 2005-09-20 06:21 pm (UTC)Ooo, ooo, I was reading the latest Fox Trot I managed to get my hands on and I had the sudden thought that Jason is this big geek right? So he shouldn't have the muscle required to pin Calvin if they get into a wrestling tussle. Because he is an intelligent person, this would mean that he'd avoid getting into such situations, yes? On the other hand, Calvin is also a very smart boy and hence would attempt to pin Jason at every oppurtunity, for 'normal' reasons as well as more... interesting reasons.
Then again, would Calvin have more muscle than Jason? They're both sticks, so weight is kind of moot. I know leverage is important in pinning a person though, and it's a point that can outweigh even physical bulk/size and muscle-power.
*cough* That distraction aside, I realised that we still haven't done the Met/Mich in a garden scene before they got together! (As well as after, but that's another story.)
You know you can tell me to go away and be quiet if I'm being too much of a pain right? o_o;;;

Date: 2005-09-20 09:33 pm (UTC)I think that Robin should be a bit more smart-ass, though. Talk back even though he's in that predicament.
Just noticed something, though. If he's been tied up for hours naked on a stone altar, shouldn't he be shivering like the dickens, if not slightly hypothermic?

Date: 2005-09-20 09:48 pm (UTC)Heh. Yes. One of those things that slip by me when I'm typing on the fly and constantly interrupted. Thanks for the heads up, I invariably would've forgotten to fix that.

Date: 2005-09-20 09:52 pm (UTC)Calvin is far more outdoorsey than Jason, so even as skinny as he is he'd have wirey muscle? I always imagined it thus, anyway. I have a snippet of a hiking thing for them, but it hasn't all fleshed out yet. I should put what I have to paper and see if the rest plays out.
I could do that scene. It just seemed boring after their getting together, but w00t for pining and needless angsting. I should try a different gimmick someday >_< But they say write what you know...
*luffs* YOu are never a pain, imp. Do not say such silly things.

Date: 2005-09-21 05:43 am (UTC)Heh, nah, it's all right. It's just that when I was searching through my memories for the Sand/Azza one I realised that we never got around to it. :P But hee, it's such an EFFECTIVE gimmick. >D
*wubs* Can't help it. ^^; I was just telling my sister the other day that I don't know how to gauge my exam performance, because I have NO answers that I deem 'correct' in my head. It's just probabilities of being wrong. And trust me, no question gets a 'zero probability of being wrong'. In other words, I can only be wrong, I can't be correct.
