I'm a dork

Was perusing through some old stories that I've started but haven't done much with, and I stumbled across some old homework and something else. It's a favorite piece of my sister's and I, from Shakespear's Henry V. I'm sure everyone knows it, but I'm fond of it, I miss my sister (who's in Russia) and it's 3:30 am and I can't sleep.

That he that hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made
And crowns for convoy put into his purse:
We would not die in that man's company.
That fears his fellowship to die with us.
This day is call'd the feast of Crispian:
He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is named,
And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say 'To-morrow is Saint Crispian:'
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,
And say, 'These wounds I had on Crispin's day.'
Old men forget; yet all shall be fortgot,
But he'll remember with advantages
What feats he did that day: then shall our names,
Familiar in his mouth as household words,
Harry the king, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd,
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
>From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap while any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Cripin's day.

rather unrelated.. but the Scarlet Pimpernel?! I love that musical! I saw it a few years ago and I've about worn my disk out ;)

Cool! Some friends took me to see it for my birthday one year. It's my favorite musical.

It's a close third only to a tied Phantom of the Opera and Les Mis. But I've seen Phantom 3 times and Les Mis twice.. once in London so I might be a bit biased in my favoites ;)

I really wish it would come back!

oh, jealous. I'd be biased too. Scarlet is one of my fav books, and while the play really isn't much like the book it's still a lot of fun.

Hmmm this is the second time we've agreed. If we do it once more I fear the world as we know it might end. And we can't have that. So. I think those pants are atrocious on you. There. I've saved the world for all. Go me.

Well if you want to be that way...

At least I'm not a full grown man dressed in carnation pink.

I certainly hope you aren't. Because that's MY fashion statement and the last person that tried to steal it found out very quickly that pink was not his color.

No worries. The only pink I lay claim to is my lj layout.

And please - once you got him out of "your" pink look, he was probably stretched out on your pink sheets. We both know how easy you are.

I don't see myself as "easy". Honestly, when you've got something as magnificent all this not sharing would be a disservice to the world.

oh, well of course *rolls eyes*

Besides. If I was easy I'd sleep with everybody that asks. I'm too picky to be easy.

Good point. Picky and easy just can't go together.

Then again, you are a MAN named ROSE so anything is possible

But just because I'm picky doesn't mean I don't know how to have fun..

And such a lovely name, isn't it?

you, on the other hand, are a typical guy after all. way too easily offended, even by silence.

Typical? Never. As you so callously mentioned earlier, my name is Rose. There isn't a typical bone in my body.

oh I don't know, a guy made entirely of hormones seems pretty typical to me.

Oh. Ouch. Well I must admit you just won that game match and set.

Thank you, darling Rose. I will confess I didn't expect you to be so graceful about it. I will conced a modicum of respect to you for that.

*nods* You are welcome. Even *I* know when I have no chance at winning. That was an alarming accurate description of myself...
