ONe time I actually saw stars, just like in the damned cartoons.
Another time, it was just *crunch* and my whole face went numb. And then I felt as if I had radar in my nose - I was so busy guarding it from approaching hands, walls, whatever... it was OW and dont' touch.
Getting it reset? Was soooooooooo not fun, starting with like a dozen shots into the nose. Ow. Ow. Ow. My eyes water just thinking about it. Then cruch back more or less to the right position and it was done. I wore one of those charming padded metal things across my nose for about three or four days.
Um, it never bled and I never got black eyes. I suspect that's unusual.
I never bothered getting it reset the other times.
Iiinteresting. I'm just trying to figure out how long this guy's life is going to suck, and how he'd sound speaking. It's not a major thing, but it seems a detail I should get correct. ^_^ Thanks!
The seeing stars episode was a horse rearing up as I was bandaging his foreleg, so I got a knee in the face. Ouch.
The other was my girlfriend. I was holding her legs down and tickling her. She tried kicking again just as I let go and sat up and she clocked me right in the face with one bare heel.
You won't believe this...I broke my nose in 2nd grade. All I remember is massive quantities of blood. I had to have clean clothes brought from home because I bled so whatever I had on was ruined.
I totally got punched in the face once! I don't know if my nose was offically broken because I never went to the doctor to get it fixed or anything, but my nose got smashed and it's got a bump that never healed right.
Anyway, punch in the face, and then a horrible HORRIBLE crunch sound that I could hear resonating in my head. Then there was sort of like that dull pain that would feel numb if it didn't feel hurting, you know what I'm talking about? ALso my head felt like I had a bad sinus cold. Also my nose felt swollen and gigantic in addition to hurting. That's all I can remember.
it bleeds a lot, although kind of slow and thick like. like having milk up your nose. hot milk, because the blood is hot, and increases the general temperature like... 10 degrees. hot, sticky, and numb. and... squishy.
shove a cotton ball up your nose, and set it on fire. kinda like that, except for the third degree burns.
