That today would be a goddamn pain. Ah, well.

So who else listens to certain songs to either wallow in a bad mood or cheer you up? Me, I prefer to cheer up (doesn't always work). Two songs of late have been "Jukebox Hero" by Foreigner and "Accidently In Love" by the Counting Crows (I believe). There is no way to stay irate or gloomy listening to those songs. Though I wish I would remember to bring in my Goo Goo Dolls...Mmm, have also been enjoying "Send Your Love" by Sting.

So what does everyone else listen to?

Well, to cheer up? It depends on why I'm feeling crappy. Some days everything I have just ends up being interpreted in a bad way. Sometimes fast, 'hard' songs like "Devil's Cry" help, or if I'm in the right mood, ballads can help. I have to say though, that many many songs can depress me if I listen to them enough. Even stuff that's supposed to be fairly romantic or sappy or whatever. =_=;;;;

Not exactly on topic but I scored about a kijillion Christmas CDs for us this year. They are giving away the music they play on the elevators (n-lich burns custom cds) and I grabbed a bunch :)

And I'm sure you know by now what I listen to when I'm in a bad mood ^^;

I have to go to Kenwood tonight to get something from Dick's and ummm that one place above it.. you know.. the one that carries the stuff we need a 12 step program for? I know you wanted a few for the trip and we can grab a bite to eat if you want.

Sure, why not? I won't be writing, and packing shouldn't take too long.

Elevator music?

"Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Wave, Paul Simon's "Kodachrome", most anything by the Bare Naked Ladies, and especially this time of year, I forget who sings it, but the song was used on a postal service commercial a few years back. It goes:

I'mma gonna wrap myself in paper
I'mma dot myself with glue
Stick some stamps on the top of my head
I'mma gonna mail myself to you.

Yeah it's elevator music but it's like Mannheim and Madonna and stevie wonder and Dean Martin and harry connic Jr and bing crosby and other real music not Muzac :)

Dick's is open until 9 or 10 and B&N is open until 11 so we have plenty of time. What do you want for dinner?

Music always matches my mood and how animated I am about it. Though usually Matchbox Twenty is theme no matter the mood.

The internet recently gave me the billboard top 100 for each year between 1980 and 1993. That does it for me, at least what I selected from that huge list.

"Accidentally in Love" is the greatest song in the universe... especially when paired with the opening of Shrek 2.

Ya know.. I just pound out some Godsmack, Nine Inch Nails, Three Days Grace... It doesn't necessarily make me feel better, per se... But I think I transfer my shittiness to energy singing.

I don't think it's possible to stay depressed while listening to Foreigner.
