The new furniture and whatall is being put in today, so there's all kinds of noise. Drowning out my music *pout*

Anyway. Was goign to type up the Geniuses Thanksgiving drabble I have written, but maybe should't write it when there are 3-4 Big Tough Men in the room (oh, remind me I have cute story about said men later).

So we'll talk books instead.

Capt. Hook: The Adventures of a Notorious Youth. Verra good book (I spend way too much time in the YA section...). Managed to walk the fine line b/t Hook as a Bad Guy and still good in his own fashion. What I would really like to see is someone tackle him becoming a rat bastard. Also am feeling the urge to rehaul my own contribution to the PP fandom, but alas that will have to be put back in its shoebox until I finish some other stuff. Donig my damndest not to start anything knew until I'm free and clear in several other areas. Anyway - worth the money (I got it in hardback), esp. if you like nongood guys.

Picked up Earthian and enjoyed it, though Chihaya is really not much more than a helpless woman. still, love them. Love Michael and Raphael more, but I think everyone already knew that. I am confused as to why they're combining volumes - Vol. 1 in English is actually 1 & 2 in Japanese. I'm sure they have good reason, but generally a publisher is more likely to split a volume up rather than consolidate.

What else? Immensely enjoyed Holy Blood, Holy Grail. Whether you buy it all or not is completely superfluous, imho. It's a good read. Who doesn't enjoy a centuries long conspiracy theory complete with codes, obscure refrences and secret societies?

Much *_* for Dean Koontz's Frankenstein. Not what I plan on doing with Victor or his monster, but I'm enjoying the interpretation. He manages to make the monster a good guy in a nontrite way, and even if a trifle predictable in places the story is not bad at all. Lots of fun, and I'm glad Koontz seems to be recovering from his I Found Jesus stage. Though his oldest books are still his best; nothing will ever top Watchers (Mickey...Mickey...). Anyway - first two books are out, third one comes out in the summer.
Frankenstein, Book One: Prodigal Son
Book Two: City of Night

Badly want to write and *post* stuff. I feel like sucha slacker, even though I know I was busting ass on Nano. Which reminds me: Self - work on Prisoner tonight. Also: Lists, Spectrum, CDs, you're forgetting something.
