cute story about the carpenters
Nov. 30th, 2005 06:28 pmIt's cute to me anyway.
They're really nice guys, for one. Not obnoxious or think they know it all - I felt bad I couldn't stop and chat, though they kept trying to crack jokes and stuff.
Anyway, the younger of the four gets a phonecall - from his wife or girlfriend (two of the four guys are out), I think. He's chatting, chatting, and the you can see he's sort of fumbling to hang up. Finally the other guys goes "go ahead and say it" So the guy on the phone tells his girl he loves her and hangs up ^_^ Then the older guys tells him it's perfectly okay to say that, and that he should...and that his own wife always makes him say it before he hangs up. I was doing my damnedest not to start giggling or get up and hug them both for being too adorable for words. I thought they were, anyway.
Also, and again this probably only amuses me. The older guy, later, was putting the main counter together and he started singing. I guess it was mostly funny b/c I wasn't expecting it? He sounded so damned chipper as he sang: ~If I were a carpenter...I'd get another job.~ I fell over laughing. The simplest things always amuse me most.
So those are my stories. Now I want b00z
