What is your alias? I go by either 'maderr' or 'amaretto sour'

How did you choose it? maderr = megan april derr; amaretto sour is my favorite drink

What fandoms do you write for? mostly original, but from time to time I wander over into calvin/jason (calvin & hobbes/foxtrot), and I dabble in several and wish I had more time for them: hardy boys, james bond/macguyver, and king arthur.

What fics are you currently working on? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That's too long a list. But open on my desktop right this moment: Sandstorm, Never Afraid Are We, Dance with the Devil, Dual Scream, Ficathon Story (as yet unnamed), The Curse of Hansel and Gretel, The Legend of the Black Mountain, Prisoner and Kidnapped - Meant to Be

What fandom did you start in? Descendants of Darkness. I couldn't understand why no one ever slashed the pretty shikigami, so I did. Touda/Byakko. I so wish I had time to rewrite that horrid thing.

What is your deepest darkest fic-writing secret? Do I have secrets? I think I'm pretty good for bitching about everything under the sun

Do you have any quirks/habits in your writing? An excessive amount of cutesiness that I can't seem to help? Snarky boy winds up with quiet boy? And I dare you to find one story that doesn't contain a book, someone who likes to read, and/or a library. Other than that, I lack description. I sort of have this fear that (oh, I guess this could have gone under deep dark secrets?) if I go heavy on descriptionn, I'll wind up sounding like the kinds of books I hate. I'm getting better, b/c the ol' flist harasses me, but I've got a ways to go.

Do you have any fanfiction pet peeves? The ever popular OOCness? But it does bug me, hardcore. I'll put up with the cheeziest plots, the goofiest writing styles if I love the characters. That includes originals and fanfics. Especially fanfics, where you're just borrowing established chars. I know how hard it is, I mean I'm still struggling to write MacGuyver -- but I'm not going to have break down sobbing in James arms because he broke up with girlfriend or have James get scared and wibbly because OMG HE MIGHT LIKE BOYS TOO.

Other than that? Rape et al. when it doesn't need to be there. Very very rarely is that sort of thing crucial to a story. I dislike seeig it treated so lightly.

Do you have an OTP? Fai/Kurogane. I have been in love with them both since Gomes first threw Tsubasa at me and gave me her own version of things (yay! Gomes subtitles) and as much as I love a million other pairings in a million other fandoms, I heart these two to the point that if I hadn't outgrown the 14-year old fangirl thing, I would embarass myself. I've started rereading Tsubasa again (don't ask how many times I've read it, I won't admit) and weep that my collections stops at ten (and that I seem to be missing vol. 3 O_o). I want like burning to know what's going on with both of them, and CLAMP is so totally messing with my head and if they throw in any OSCs I will KILL KILL KILL. (oops, went fangirly). Stopping now.


If you could get someone to write a fic for you right now, who would it be? I wish someone would write me the aforementioned OTP, or at hook me up with killer fics, b/c I cannot find them minus the one someone wrote me for Yuletide a couple of years ago (and I've read it to death, I assure you).

Sweet, I'm sorry, I haven't had a chance to look at Sandstorm. x_X;;;

But I was wondering though. I think somewhere in the prologue or something you wrote about Witcher's capture? And I'm not sure if I remember a time-lapse from then until now, when Kiah and Nanda and everybody are already in the harem.

That's all I remember offhand.

AHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA I ALREADY WORKED THAT OUT. I think. I remember I was trolling through their ages, when Witcher's buddies came to visit, but I think it works out. Kiah hasnt' been in the harem very long, as I recall. Don't make me paranoid (though I can always edit it once everything is done, years are easy to adjust, really).

THE RANDOM JAPANESE PHRASES. BAD JAPANESE, AT THAT. AND USING THE WORD "KOI" TO SHORTEN "KOIBITO" OR WHATEVER. EXCUSE ME, BUT YOU JUST CALLED YOUR BOYFRIEND A FISH.
