Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] skylark97

I"m so disgusted I can't think. As already commented by skylark, these people are christians, and my understanding was always that real christians don't do petty, vile, rephrehensible things like that f'ing statue.

To steal skylark's post completely: ruin another slanted poll

Well what needs to happen is everyone needs to find out when they are going to protest and then LOTS AND LOTS of people can show up to protest thier protest and beat the crap out of the people that won't leave goy high school kids alone. For god sakes it is not like people choose to be gay, they are born that way and maybe the fucking christians should learn to accept that.

The vote currently sways in the homosexual's favor. The entire situations with these polls disgusts me. The people that sponsor them only accept the results if they say what they want them to say, and if the vote is not in their favor, they claim the vote was "contaminated" or something similar. I just want to wring their little necks.

Yeah, I stumbled upon this site by my "Christian" brothers and sisters the other night and fell into a fairly deep depression over the state of the world.

I was rescued by my personification of God from Dinner Dates coming up with lots of nastly little bit to add to the story in order to further piss off the my "Christian" neighbors. =P Thanks to all of this current news, the story has been bymped up considerably on the "to-do" list.

It's sad that a few bad seeds end up having to spoil a whole group of apples. Christians only hate homosexuals because they fear the wrath of their God. Of course, this same God also preaches kindness and forgiveness. My grandmother opts for the latter path, so I resent anyone who sees all Christians as evil.

So just what sort of statement are they trying to make with a pink (okay, salmon-colored) monument? That does seem rather tasteless.

At least homosexuals aren't creating unwanted children. I was born (or was I made?) this way. I can't remember far back enough in my life to know when (if) the change occurred. I can't help what I'm attracted to, but I can help what I do. I don't wish to hurt anyone or even to live frivolously. My mother, a heterosexual, lived frivolously and ended up ruining the lives of her children. I just want someone I can connect to. I'm afraid to say, since I'm the exception rather than the rule, that it's rather difficult.

Shit since when do Christians celebrate the loss of someone's soul to Hell? They should be trying to comfort the family not exacerbate their sorrow.

Mergh, I guess it does seem rather like we're saying all christians are evil. Not the impression I wish to give; my mom is against gay marriages while I'm for them and we still get along fine. I know plenty of people around here that don't agree with gay anything, but they're definitely not evil. It's just the statue-erecting ones that make me so mad. Growing up around those types turned me off religion completely.

I'm really really hoping that site is a joke. My biggest problem with people this....hostile? about it: Why does it matter? It doesn't affect you in your day to day life. My motto has always been "to each his own," and I've done all right by it so far (except maybe when I get angry about things like this and declare they're all fucking morons, in which case I probably should calm down).

I really can't wait to see that story, I've been insanely curious ever since you first mentioned it.

That had me flabbergasted. Honestly I wonder if it's some joke? Because it seems incredibly petty to thrive on someone's death. Especially when they're probably most, if not all, of the reason he killed himself. It seems like a bad movie in a way.
