I love it when I find scraps of paper and have no clue wtf I thought I was doing at the time. On a scrap from a mini legal pad:

After the fire was magic-rich, he began to throw in everything else. Components, talismans, wands, ever last witchy implement in the house.

His mother would have killed him if she hadn't died first. Along with everyone else.

Jezell brushed tears from his cheeks, angry that he'd started crying again. Crying was useless. Anger would help him now, not tears.

He threw the last of the his mother's and grandmother's thing into the great fireplace.


I have no idea.
