I have got to go to bed on time tonight. I hate it, loathe, detest, and despise it, but staying up even an hour late kills me.
Have written more of dragon story, will post maybe tonight if I can get through the one scene I want to finish.
Why can I never be driven to write a goddamn short story? ARGH. Just once, muses, I'd like to be attacked by something that capped at ten pages. Kthxbai.
In other news, mildly related, Iris rejected Sandstorm finally. Still want to submit a fairytale for their lates anthology, but I'm starting to wonder if I should give up the professonial schtick and just do my own thing. Somewhere, somehow, I just lack whatever it is that places like Iris want.
Wednesday, at least. Two more days 'til the woefuly too short weekend. In another week my little sister will be visiting ^__^ Which means I still have gifts to buy and mail, which reminds me I need to buy wrapping paper and go downstairs to find the damned tree skirt.
And I still need to clean the living room and kitchen, as well as finish the porch. So unmotivated and I'm tired of being tired!
Crap, this post wasn't meant to be that whiney. Stopping now.

There's not much shame in self-publishing? When the work can stand on its own two legs, I don't think there should be any shame, but there's always going to be the elitist types that think unless an honest to god real publisher handles your book, you're nothing. (Never mind how many oddles upon oddles of publishers there are out there who print really bad stuf - imho. And never mind that they probably haven't been published either.) To combat them, I could publish it. X3
Really, I would like to figure out the ins and outs of the publishing business so when I do self-publish, my books could actually be seen in store. And then, maybe, I could start up my own publishing house. (Rule #1 No Smut....)
