First off: Burger King, it's really damn sad the gas station has better coffee than you.

In bookish news, why the bloody fuck is A Strong and Sudden Thaw up for any sort of award? That book made my eyes bleed, and I was trying so goddamn hard to like it. I couldn't even finish it. I finally lost patience at the Shakespeare Sonnet. Ugh. Memo to me, do review for Iris and Torquere books at some point. The world may hate me, but I'm used to it. By god if I have to be the bitchy one, I'll be the bitchy one.

Speaking of good books, when I first read the The Count of Monte Cristo years and years ago, I read the abridged. On finally reading the full version, I come across a scene where "Aladdin" and "Sinbad" enjoy some hashish and Aladdin dreams the statues in the room get frisky with him. Really frisky. I thought I was losing my mind and text Brandie. She didn't remember any dream, so I told her it was Aladdin and Sinbad and she said "oh, yeah. definitely statue fucking" and I cracked up. The rest of the office looked at me like I was crazy and my boss (this is along running joke, my randomly cracking up at shit) said "Megan, didn't we talk about this?"

So I had to explain what I found so funny.

I do so love this book.

The weather fucking blows today. *sigh*

All right, now to figure out what to write. I think I shall try to focus on Chaos, though someone asked about Black Magic the other day and I would love to work on that.

Burger King coffee always sucks. I don't know what they do to it, but it always sucks. McDonalds generally has decent coffee though, as long as it hasn't been sitting there for a few hours. It might be different in your area though, 'cause the two areas I've worked in have had different brands of coffee. ^__^;

O_o That part definitely wasn't in my abridged version, either.

Having tried any books from Freya's Bower? I have not, so cannot actually recommend. Their lesbian/gay section is small, but there.

Oh, weird. I woke up thinking about Black Magic. I would love to read more of that.

I think the problem was that there was not enough coffee in me.

Hahahaha, statue fucking. I wonder what it would take to get you to do that... >D although I suppose Knight and Statue sort of counts? Hm.

*wanders on to your LJ* ...You DIDN'T like A Strong and Sudden Thaw? ....My god, do you have like, actual taste or something? Blasphemy! I mean, I admit I actually finished the book, but only to have the maximum amount of authority when I asserted to myself when it was all over just how greatly that book did sucketh. (And yes, it was a waste of time, but probably not all that much more of a waste of time than hearing about a crappy book being nominated for a Lambda Award and then being so pissed in addition to being insulted on behalf of the other nominees that she googled just to see if there was anyone who had something possibly slightly negative to say about that book. Obviously, I just like to waste my time.)

Be the bitch one, be the bitchy one! I bitched about it on my bookcrossing account, but no one reads that (hopefully), and I couldn't help padding it with insistence I didn't despise it. So you must. Reading crappy reviews for books I hate makes me feel much better ^___^

...And you have ebook pr0n reviews. *bookmarks post under a different name so other computer users will not know what she has been doing late at night* You are my new favorite person.

I think I might love you. It's a relief to find someone as livid about that award thing as me -- and someone I don't know agreeing with me it sucks, if that makes any sense. ^^;;

It's on the list this weekend to be reviewed. I shall endeavor to make you feel better ^___^

Oh, I need to do more of those too.

Haha, yeah, I know what you mean by the someone-you-don't-know-agreeing thing. I feel silly being glad of someone else to stew in hate with, but that book.... Aah, I will happily await your review ^^

Yeah the coffee is horrible. And have you ever ordered hot chocolate from Burger King?? They gave me a packet of swiss miss, a cup of hot water, and a spoon. The gas station also has better hot chocolate lol
