Best price I'm seeing is about $750.00, give or take 20.00. Should I go ahead and buy now? Or keep holding out for prices to drop? Gods this shit makes me so twitchy. I'd feel much better buying the ticket, but that's so much money to see vanish from my poor savings account >_o

ZOMG I'M GOING TO HAWAII IN THREE MONTHS.

So wish I could make a trip like this with ma famille, but I think after Hawaii my plan is start saving for a cruise for all of us. My sibs will help me save ^__^ Then we can finally take our parents on a nice vacation.

I really don't want to go to work. My dad tried to con me into taking a 'sick' day, but I just can't do it *sigh*

From my experience ticket prices normally go up the closer you get to departure because they know by then you are desperate. But don't hold me to that, everything these days seem to be dictated by gases prices.

Hope you have a swell time while there!

Now my brain has "interesting" images of Megan in skimpy swimsuit on the beach.

TAKE A SICK DAY TAKE A SICK DAY.

Yah for Hawaii! :D
You gotta be sure to take lots of pretty pictures, and don't forget to see the blue whales while you're there! Also, sexy bikini is a must. <3

It may be more expensive at the moment because it's vacation period? You might want to try "off-peak" periods? Um.

i've always heard that there are all sorts of crazy sales in august. thus while i'm holding out for my plane ticket to australia.

but then again, you might be leaving around then, thus not a whole lot of wiggle room.

of course, this will really suck for me if i'm wrong...

What airports are you trying out of? And are you going to Oahu or Maui?

And what are your dates again?

Prices do tend to go up the closer you get to the trip. I definitely wouldn't wait more than another month if you want to get a good price. That being said, I think the best price I've gotten for a trip to Hawaii was about 500 and that was from Japan. I also tend to do one way tickets. $750 round trip from Ohio seems very reasonable to me.

I can't wait ^__________^

Do it now because prices will only go up. Not down. It's best to buy them in advance because they are cheaper. But I can't really say why.

Weekdays may be cheaper, buying early is a good thing - if your dates are flexible check out the sales for various airlines and/or local agencies. Sometimes, just calling them up and telling them the lowest price you can find, may get them to find you something cheaper/get you a discount if you go through them. It really just depends on luck sometimes *shrugs*

EEE *glomps* Going to Canada and then Vegas/LA/Sanfransisco in August XD WITH MY PARENTS.

SISTAH.

As everyone else said: Prices go up closer to the date.

In any case this site (http://www.farecompare.com/) is really good for comparing ticket prices and checking which dates will be cheapest.

I meant to add that I bought a ticket to Oregon a few weeks ago for 200 and some change and now all the tickets go for 400 and up. So prices tend to rise fast.
