Harry Potter
Jul. 28th, 2007 08:03 amI liked it lots. Much more like reading the early books than a couple of the middle ones.
The deaths were awful, but I called pretty much all of them except Dobby, so it didn't upset as much as I thought. Honestly, the only death that ever pissed me off in HP is - like everyone else - Sirius.
The fairytale thing *___* Oh man that made Megan so very happy. It was just so fucking cool! I know I've read tales similiar to that, and that she wove it in... Yes, verra happy Megan. That two of those Hallows were present the whole goddamn time? Badass. Just as 1337 as Harry destroying the journal before anyone knew what it really was.
Snape has been my favorite character right from the start. I never cared whether he was good or bad, he had my heart. I was happy for him that all went as it did, that he got not to be a bastard, and his Patronus made me sniffly.
Only the ending really twigged me. I was all 'it was sweet' but the more I thought about it, the more it just annoyed me. I would have liked to know what they all do, cause Sammie and I always believed Harry would go back to Hogwarts. It was the place he considered home. If he's not there, wtf is he doing? What about the Dursley's? How was the Ministry fixed? What changes were made after the fall of Voldemort? It would have been nice to see the Weasley's and all the others, rather than just Hallmark look at our chibis.
But, I can live. I liked the book alot and I think JK is awesome.
