Still the LJ nonsense continues. I keep hearing the founder of LJ has left. That really doesn't bode well.

This really fucking sucks. Everyone is scattering, no one is going to the same places, and it feels like I'm going to lose all my friends one by one.

Brad still has his lj account, though. So he's leaving the job, but not the journal, anyway. If that is any consolation.

I've been feeling the whole 'everything is slipping away' feeling myself, even though everyone on my flist is still here, so far. I'm not totally happy with everything either, but... don't want to lose the community I have.

The Facebook owner recently declined to sell, giving up millions of dollars. I'm impressed. I don't know anything about their policies, but they've recently opened membership to everyone. fyi

There are rumours that GJ is deleting without warning too. But IJ insist that they will only remove things when they get a court order. So I think IJ is the current favourite - despite the hideous colour scheme. I will just follow wherever people go. I have accounts at LJ, GJ and IJ now and the cheat program that lets me post to all three at once (I'm still amazed that it works!) So I'll be here as long as you are!

Would the last one to leave please turn off the lights?

You think we will let you fade away somewhere without leaving a forwarding address? You will be fitted with a radio collar if nothing else. You won't lose us because we won't lose you.
Think that people will settle after awhile and Lj will too. It's a lot of work for them to hassle us and as long as people aren't pushing things in their face I think they will start letting things slide. There's an hysteria in the country right now, maybe after the elections people will find rationality again.
But just in case, have started journals, IJ and GJ. Same name. This is just so as not to lose all my authors that I love so much. But will still be here.
