But let's face it, no one wants to here me bitch AGAIN. I've been trying very hard to keep it to a minimum.

Instead, I shall link a story that someone wrote for me, because it made me happy and even if I pretty much feel alone most days, I know I'm not.

So, pretty story based on African lore: Bori by cobecat. <3I luffs it muchly.

Be cheerful! I command it! And can do more drabbles if it helps. ^__~ I took the liberty of picking a topic/pairing for you 'cause I never can get one out of you. :P
--------

Kaij stared darkly at the young man standing on his doorstep. The smile-that-was-almost-a-smirk didn’t falter, and Kaij’s estimation of the man’s intelligence dropped another few notches.

“Is Draelin in?” His voice was smooth and clear, and Kaij wanted to punch him. On principle. Mostly because the flowers cradled easily in the man’s arms easily belied his intentions, and partly because Kaij didn’t like his face.

“Who are you?” He demanded, ignoring the question. His house, so he didn’t have to be nice. Well, technically, it was Draelin’s house, but he’d said it was Kaij’s now too.

Kaij barely kept his scowl in place as the smile finally faltered a little. It came right back though, with more smirk in it, and Kaij wondered how much trouble he’d get into if he did give into the urge to hit the bastard. Probably more than it was worth, and besides, he was being good. For Draelin.

“I am Lord Gethor Kvinte, here to call on the lovely Draelin,” was the pompous reply. The idiot even puffed up a little.

Kaij shut the door in his face. Not quite as good as punching the idiot, but still satisfying. The outraged shout was good too, and Kaij smirked, flicking on the bio-locks to keep the idiot outside where he belonged.

Now to go find Draelin and demand to know who the pompous idiot he’d just shut out was.

It didn’t take much effort to find Draelin; Kaij turned around to find Draelin wandering out of the massive office. He held a datapad in one hand and had the cutest distracted look on his face.

Kaij cleared his throat, and Draelin looked up, a smile stretching his lips and his pretty gold eyes brightening. Draelin looked as beautiful and elegant as usual, even in the loose casual clothes he was wearing. It was the hair – swept back and up, Draelin’s shining white hair tumbled down in wide curls, showing off his profile wonderfully.

“Who was at the door?” Draelin asked, tucking his datapad into his pocket and crossing the foyer to where Kaij stood.

“Is the Kvinte family important?” Kaij asked, wrapping an arm around Draelin’s waist and tugging him close.

“Kvinte?” Draelin repeated, and then his eyes widened and he blushed. So not the first time the puffed up idiot had shown up. “What did you do?”

“He brought you flowers.” Kaij ran his fingers along the smooth sweep of Draelin’s cheekbone.

“Oh, no,” Draelin murmured faintly. “What did you do?”

“He came to call on you,” Kaij continued, smirking when Draelin paled.

“Kaij, you didn’t kill him, did you?” Draelin asked seriously, and Kaij snickered, tilting Draelin’s head up so he could steal a kiss.

“I shut the door in his face,” Kaij divulged. Draelin laughed, wrapping his arms around Kaij’s chest and hugging him.

“Thank you,” Draelin murmured, and Kaij shook his head. He wasn’t bloodthirsty, no matter what impression Draelin might’ve gotten – the Telskens at that bar hadn’t been the type a slammed door would deter. Draelin tucked his forehead against Kaij’s neck, and gently touched his mind to Kaij’s.

Kaij smiled at the tired, content feeling Draelin was still exuding (still, because that was how he’d felt this morning after Kaij’s good morning friskiness). Stroking Draelin’s hair gently, Kaij wondered how much work it would be to entice Draelin into another round –

And then doorchimes went off again and Draelin’s happy feeling was whisked away by anxiety and weariness. Kaij let go and turned to the door. He was going to punch the idiot this time.

^____^ Thank you, Nikery. I should not be getting sparklies when I have failed abysmally at your cheer up story and now you're all settled and hardly need it. Kaiji is love. I hope he does punch the suitor. They are always so pretty pretty, these two <3

::grin:: There was this one day when I had just moved in when I felt all abysmally terrible and depressed and alone. But I went for a walk and started thinking and just the fact that you were willing and working on writing a story for me helped cheer me up immensely. So it did it's job, without even being complete yet. Besides, drabbles? So much easier than stories. ^__^;;

your lurkers love you, too

I wrote a story, not really For you, but BECAUSE of you (and your rant about bad fairy tales, specifically):

It makes ME laugh anyway.

Or you can always look at pictures of angora rabbits. Nothing cures depression faster than images of bunnies too fluffy for their own good.

:( Do you want to talk about it? I'll probably be up late this weekend if you need me. Love you loads. Miss talking to you about anything and everything too.
