Megan should listen to lots of Hawaiian Folk tales, like the tales of Maui, who used to live with his brothers, and tricked fire from the goddess Pele to give to humans.
Megan should also think about Paradise and eat yakitori bentos and ride the 52 Circle Island bus.
Megan should write a cute story about a boy who likes dolphins and turtles working at a water park who meets a cute surfer dude or something.
And if Megan feels snooty, she should also try to find some pineapple wine from Tadeshi winery in Maui (snooty wine, but one of the few actually made from pineapples, not grapes). Dry but ever so slightly sweet.
Megan should also check to see if there are any more o-bon festivals going on, though it really is too late in the season, an o-bon festival is so much fun!
Enjoy your vacation above all else! The stories are great, but enjoy Hawaii, you can write any time! Let the muses out and run around in the sand and get into trouble ^_~ But the plane rides are fair game for writting! Have a great time! Enjoy the local stories and legends!

The fairy godfather thing doesn't actually have a title. ^^; It's one of those things she writes at lunch or on the bus and then makes the mistake of sending to me when she gets home and I endlessly harass her to continue it for ever after. ^.~
