Ugh, I seriously hope I survive tomorrow >_o prospects are dim. luckily, there is much awesome on the horizon. just have to make it that far *crosses fingers*

I'm glad I was so mistaken about Rumors. ^^;; I swear my impression was always that few cared for that story.

Man, I want to go bed. I also want food. I guess people in hell want ice water, eh?

I just reread Rumors. Yus, good. Short, but that was the story. I don't know the original fairy tale, but I liked the clothes that he made out of the dresses. And that he had gotten so close to the king, but waiting until the balls for the theatrical revenge. And that the prince showed up just in time, and is a smart doobie and is taking Rune away for their happily ever after. Mmm, love those. ^_^

I guess people in hell want ice water Hee! That's a classic now, eh? ^_~

The original tale has a bunch of different names, and I was going to link you to it but so far I'm not having much luck *kicks google* I know it best as 1000 Furs, but Donkeyskin is one name, All Kinds of Fur is another. It's one of my favorites, just because it's so inherently dark when most fairytales are a bit happier.

I like your story better. Even though the mad king was successful in the rape of his daughter, I like the idea of seeing what happened in that kingdom, and the revenge, and that the Prince was in the right place at the right time. It is kind of neat, in the original, that she used cunning to catch the attention of the king, but... there is something less romantic about it.

Ah, well.^_^ I'm glad you liked it, because we got Rumors out of it! ^_____^
