Really not much to say, except to bitch about work, and I know I'm sick of me bitching about work.

Hmm hmmm. First Fairytale book is near completion. Debating Prisoner and Sandstorm -- Sandstorm was ready to go until I wrote Fahima's story. Now I wonder if I should include that, or leave it out and put it somewhere else eventually, or put a full hold on Sandstorm until her harem stories are done (which, you know, could take forever, esp. since I only know four of her five at present. fsking chars never tell me anything) and then include everything. Prisoner -- include drabbles or not? I am not including drabbles with short stories, but I waver on the full lengths (um, minus kidnapped. That fucker has 30+ pages of drabbles so they're going with a seperate book of short stories some day).

Ponder ponder.

Tomorrow it is apparently going to snow. Here's the thing with me and snow -- I actually, deep down, like it. What I don't like is snow when people are around. Especially in Cincinnati, where every year the natives are surprised by it and go O_O ZOMG WHAT IS THIS WHITE STUFF WE'RE DOOOOMED and make life suck for one another and those few who don't freak out. Ask my roommate - I'm not making this shit up.

I feel I had something amusing to say, but I cannot think of it even after all this rambling.

Made a fire, might go make tea. The only good thing about the cold weather is such things as fire and tea.

Am loving Tin Man. He and Glitch are totally slashable ^_~ And cool besides.

People just complain about snow here. It sounds like the adults in Peanuts - wah wah wah wah wah waaaaaaah.

It's amusing that people where you live think it's the apocalypse.

You've watched Tin Man? I'm holding out for a friend, but not for much longer. (Jealous!)

I think DC is worse about snow. Because of the embassies, we have new people every year who freak.

And doesn't Glitch kick freaking ass oh so hard? He and Caine are the best characters in the whole thing. DG annoys the hell out of me. And boobs (her sister with the magical monkey tattoos) is almost as bad.

And Glitch would make such a cool top. *whistles innocently*

Ah, yeah. That would be a pain the ass.

GLITCH AND TIN MAN FTW!!! DG is straight up OSC man x_x ugh. Yeah, the part where she ripped open her dress so the monkey could come out about slayed me. I kept waiting for someone to shout BOOBIES!

Question! These books that you're planning on publishing ... are they gonna be available on the Amazon (specifically Amazon.ca) websites, or only on Lulu? 'Cuz it would be nice if I could get them without having to pay crazy shipping fees. :/

For now, sadly, I'm sticking just to lulu. I hate the shipping costs are such a bitch, but I can't afford to do all that's necessary to get stuffs listed with amazon and all. hopefully I'll be able to in the future.

Yeah for you guys, I remember many a night in Cinci waiting for snow, only to be so cruelly dissapointed. Up north here we get a little more. But like you said the BIG difference is how people react. In Cinci people go CRAZY!!! They go out and buy water and toilet paper, and think that the white death is going to get them. Here people are like "meh" I don't need the roads plowed, and you are a pansy, this wait until there is a foot of snow to drive under 60mph! Yet i feel the roads here are safer than the maniac drivers in Cinci who drive like IDOTs when thereis white stuff falling!

http://www.createspace.com would give you the option to get it listed on amazon.com, but not any of the interational amazon sites.

I say no to drabbles under any circumstance. They have their place, but I not in publication. /my $.02

Glitch and Tin Man, sure...but I see Tin Man and Zero as having a past before Zero became a long coat. But I have a thing for Callum Rennie.

Freaking over < 6" snow = laugh. ^_^

Though, I remember in Virgina that my parents, who knew how to drive in snow, acknowledged that the snow driving there was worse b/c 1)most of the people didn't know how to drive in it, and 2) the temp tended to hover at 32°F, so that it was wet once second, and black ice the next.

I agree with Sam about no drabbles... an author's note pointing the reader to drabbles on your website might be nice. But if you choose to include the drabbles, I'm sure they will make many people very happy. ^_^

FAIRYTALES!!! *__________________________________*

*cough* Yes. Can't wait to see those all shiny and pretty on lulu. ^_____^!!

And I'm in agreement with Rykaine and Mechante. A link to the website for the drabbles would be kick ass (because the drabbles are teh love. <33), but it seems like it would be a clunky thing to try and fit into a compilation of short stories or a chaptered book, ya know?

Oh wonderful Maderr of the golden tales, whom I have been lurking around for well over a year now, would you do me the honor of becoming my befriended?

I'll even promise to try and lurk less; comment more.

Please? Pretty please? with honey and slash on top?

I agree with keeping the drabbles on your site and merely providing a link. Including a short story at the end of a book is fine, but drabbles are, I think, better savoured online. With butter cookies and a cup of tea. ~_^

Pah, people should not get all panicky about a few random snowflakes. Half a meter, yes - but a thin layer barely bears mentioning, especially since it's going to melt anyway.

yay fairytales! at some point [last spring, i think] i was seriously contemplating the logistics of printing and binding some of your stories [i had planned on asking you before i actually did it ^^;;], since i've done some amateur book-binding, but it all seemed crazy hard, even though i thought it'd be pretty cool. and now i sound like a stalker or something...but i'm excited that you'll actually have published works! :D

and i totally agree about tin man. really intriguing series. and my roommate and i were watching the second part last night in awe [and happiness!] because we didn't even have to really try to see the slashy subtext. it was fabulous.

I find it really funny that snow causes a panic. I'm from California, we get snow here about once every 20 years. Snow where I live is a huge cause for excitement. People drive to the mountains in order to find snow. You'd think we'd be worse than people who deal with it every year.

Also, I had just had the same thought about Glitch and Tin Man.
