I so wish I had an ebook reader. I thought I could read them on my ipod, if I converted them to plain text, but every time it just cuts them off after like the first three pages. No idea why. Mayhap I'll look into an ebook reader for birthday or something, or see if I can't stow pennies somewhere to save up for somthing like the Kindle. It really would be nice to have one for the bus and lunch breaks and stuff.

In other news, I really need to go to bed at TEN, not midnight -__- I know it's bad to stay up late, why do I keep doing it?

Have not written much of anything this week, need to fix that, but with Beej coming in tomorrow and my cleaning soooo not done - probably will not get to. We shall see, though, cause writing is loads more interesting than cleaning.

So bloody tired, and it's my own fault. So do not want to go to work today. I was in charge yesterday, and I just know I fucked something up. Hopefully everyoen will be back in today, and I can actually what I should be doing, and not everything else.

iPod just has a limit. You could put them on in verah small bits. :( Mine is an old iPod and cuts off after about three paragraphs. :(

try this one..I don't have an ipod anymore but I used a converter(not unlike this one I linked) to convert text files into smaller notefiles to read consecutively. Now I just use my DS..much easier.

Hi, I just bought Palm-wx

It was a second-hand one and costed me about 45$. I put into books in pdf and I am very happy with it. The memory is 8 mega, so I could store more than 10 average books. Not as shiny as Kindle, but I want only to read, and I got it.

Dude, just write your stories! If you clean the house too much I won't have anything to do while you're off at work except study. ^_~

I'm so excited to see you tomorrow!!!! Any idea what time you guys will be picking me up from the airport? I doesn't really matter when, I'm just curious. ^_^

See you soon!

What is an ebook reader? I am so behind in my technology.

I myself use a Clie PEG-T665c

Though there are nicer versions these days, I'm happy with this since it's got everything I need without being an outright phone, including word and excel -to-go. I'm sure there are others which are similar and do the same job, but cheaper, if you have a good look around.
Happy hunting, and I send my sympthies on your lost wallet. *hugs*

You probably stay up too late because your brain won't shut off. Stress is a sleep killer. I find a glass of wine calms me down enough to sleep after a really really bad day. (like all this week, Caller center+internationally dead phones=stressed to the point of passing out management team...)

And you can do it cheap. Arbor Mist Sangria. Good stuff.

And...as for the readers, I still don't know about them. They tend to be extremely overpriced for what they are.

I really want a Kindle. I will eventually save up to buy one. It will make my life so much easier.

<3 I hope you're not too tired. If you're not, I'd suggest checking my LJ later. You might find something that will make you very happy. ^.^

I've eyed those at the stores more than once, but so far I've resisted because I have mixed opinions about ebook readers.

On one hand it's a nice idea having multiple books on a pocket sized device and I could easily upload and read the latest work of my favorite web writers unshackled by the computer or laptop. I used to save the pages of a roleplay I once ran, print them off, and read them during free moments of the day. It's have been nice to have something like an ereader then. Yet on the other hand they seem overpriced, and enjoy the feel of a book in my hands. I guess I'd use it for the things that I can't find printed in a handy paperback size.

Curse you. Now I'm thinking about ebook readers again! *clicks the links people posted*

i have a sony eReader and i love it. recently its gotten better reveiws than the Kindle and it seems more durable. the one i have is second generation, or what ever its called so there are very few bugs that you have to work around. no internet, but the Kindle doesn't have "real" internet any ways, it has a weird version of it.

And how exactly did you put e-books on your DS?

A little device called an R4. Converting them to text files and using a program for the R4 called dsreader. No italics or anything..but I get them portable....and they have bookmarks. There's another ds book reader that does support them but it requires some screwy xml coding on the books themselves and that's just too much work.
