A bit of trivia

I don't recall who does and does not know this, but I was speaking to Sammikins about it and she mentioned I should probably actually say something.

It's from Prisoner, and started with my adjective problem ^_~

The arcen is yet another small joke in my mind. Knowing full well I was writing a slash novel, I chose to go with a rainbow theme for the arcen. I think most say it 'arsen' as in arsenic. Though I did have that in mind, it's actually based on l'arc en ciel.

Little things amuse me, and I seldom care if anyone else gets why I'm snickering.

I swear to you, the first time I read the story, I mused to myself that with just a few adjustments it would be l'arc en ciel, and then had to laugh out loud because I was reading slash.

Seeing as my classmates and I would over-analyze words and make French phrases out of them as a game anyway, I figured I was just nuts. I wrote it off as too much time spent on my French final project (which had to do with weather) and that clearly, it was just a concocted coincidence in my sleep-deprived mind (though I could never keep myself from pronouncing it "arken" after that)

Clearly I terrify myself, and shouldn't be allowed to read when doing French homework. Ignore me and my idiocy ^^;

that's really kind of cool. i like it. it's always fun to find out those little tidbits. :)

i totally always said "arken" in my head, hard 'c'. i think it's 4 years of latin- c's are hard like k's and v's sound like w's. kind of fucks up my perspective on new words sometimes, since i have a tendency to default to latin.
