I am late doing this.
nikerymis visited us this weekend past, and it was most splendiferous. I do not appear to have terrified her off, and she was loads and loads of fun to chill with. Am so very happy I finally got to meet her ^__________^
We went to a Panic! at the Disco concert. First up was Phantom Planet, and they were bomb. I'd listened to a few of their songs, but not closely. The concert pleased me muchly, I have been playing them more this week. Next up was the Hush Sound *.* Man, I love that group so damned much. I wish they'd traded places with Motion City Soundtrack, cauase Hush rocked and MCS was flat out boring.
Panic!, though, man - they fucking rocked. I loved it loved it. I'm not usually one for concerts, much preferring to keep my hearing intact and control of my music, but some groups are worth the effort and Panic most defintitely was worth it.
Sunday we returned to the humble abode and made Nikery watch a million movies. Then we went for ice cream.

Date: 2008-05-22 06:18 pm (UTC)We missed most of Phantom Planet, but the other bands were all great. I love Panic, but I was still surprised by how much they rocked. Their old stuff sounded so much better live--they've clearly grown a lot as musicians since their first album. Amazing stuff.
Plus, bubbles! And flower-strewn microphone stands!
