Have I done undercover agent falls for bad guy yet?

Cause I'm annoyed enough with so many bad attemnpts at this, I may have to.

-__-

I have got to stop letting anger and inspiration hang out together.

Of course he would be. I'm not a pansy cop out.

*snort* I think we're confused on who spoils who, dear.

I think I have a complex 'cause peeps tend to dismiss peeps who like the bad guys in fandoms as those who believe the guys are simply misunderstood and can be redeemed and I'm just like, WTF?

Dexter and Light (Death Note) were as far from heroes as you could get and I still pretty much spent most of my time cheering them on...

NO WAI

My vote is for do it. ^__~ But really, did you expect anything different? ^___^

Curious, would this be a contemporary or a fantasy setting? Because I could see this fitting into the DwtD universe fairly well. ^___^

Fantasy. I'm too lazy for contemporary. That involves gangs and guns and technology and crap. Way easier to make my own rules, and magic is so much more shiney.

I did not think of dwtd. hmm.

For some reason, when I think undercover and bad guys, I think mafia/yakuza/organized crime...and something with bullets. Maybe it's 'cause of the Viewfinder manga and Infernal Affairs/The Departed? But yeah, guns. Lots of guns. Or at least cool weapons XD

I would do guns, if it didn't require contemporary or something too close to it. I like my dragons and wizards, alas.

Well, minus my vampires. I'll never confess how much research I did for the weapons used by Locke.

If its dwtd you get magic AND bullets, which is win/win :) Though honestly, as long as there's a lot of weapons and stuff, I'm a happy ducky ^_^

::laugh:: That's why I thought of DwtD, because it's a blend of contemp and fantasy and I always equate undercover agents with contemporary. ^___^ That's probably just a byproduct of reading so many damn police-mystery-drama stories when I was a young, impressionable girl.

I LOVE like your dragons and wizards and vamps too :) I wish there was a magic equivalent of the Witchblade or some kind of distance weapon other than the scepters/canes.

Your research would make for v v interesting reading :)

...does Kidnapped-verse count? I mean, technically Pyotr and Jade...you know.

But if you want to write something MORE, I'm sure as hell not going to stop you.

Yes, please, have at it~ Since contemporary is out, maybe you'll give us your fantasy version of mafia/yakuza/gangster? It will be made of so much win~

Personally I'd like to see a wimpy pretty little mage who was bullied as a child now be an amoral sharp-tongued leader who stages a coup to win some prestigious position - lord of a castle, owner of the magical academy where he was bullied, owner of a starship, captain of a unique and important military unit... something so that he can rub his old enemies' noses in the fact that he's more important and dangerous than them now. Perhaps there might even be some lovely muscley mercenaries involved. ^_^ But I am a sucker for villains so I will no doubt be enthralled no matter what the details are.

You haven't that I remember, but despite any recent indications otherwise, my memory is a pretty faulty thing.

If you did it, you would certainly find a happy audience in me. (And, I'm assuming, about a bazillion other readers). If it wouldn't be FUN to write, though, you should write something that seems more fun; don't force yourself to write something just because you think that everyone else is doing it wrong.

If annoyance at others' failings is translatable into inspiration, however, then -- by all means! Show us how it should be done. I would look forward to reading whatever you came up with. **tail wags**

I sez Do It.

And magic undercover, right? Because undercover is just spying, and magic spying is... magic? Spells to change appearance and voice, or cause invisibility, or even scrying (though, there would be wards up to prevent that, I'm thinking... and now I'm thinking of the Sims 2, where if you use a telescope, a neighbor sim can show up and tell you off for spying on them).

No! You haven't! And I would be really really happy if you did! Because you would make it amazing! And fantasic! And fan-freaking tastic! Please! I am just going to use an exclamation mark at the end of each sentence! Okay! Goodbye!

Can't say that I recall such a fiction but you know what? That would make a pretty darn good addition to your repertoire.

Go Megan, pushing limits and imagination!
I'd be glad to hear the Bad Guy is a Green Arrow though; pick on the rich to protect the poor!

sorry, the only thing that i can think that remotely qualifies is blaze, and he was only hired muscle, for like, half a second.

and while bond and mac are both badasses, neither really count as bad GUYS, so clearly, there is a hole that needs filling.

can i say, whatever muse has blessed your creative/devious/lovely mind, can i feed them chocolate to keep them happy? or requested sketches or something?

off to go read what i've missed...

Hum, what about Minder and, um... what was his name again? Technically, Minder was not really undercover, but Byron could be considered the bad guy because he blackmailed Leland into it?

It is some kind of 'secret identity dude falling for bad guy.'

Just saw the Flowers post! Oooh, the concept of Pets is so interesting! And shiney xD Isn't it difficult to try and develop both stories separately in one arc, or will Gilles/Stregoni and Aubrey/Ruthven meet halfway?

And you do spoil us: Sabre and Lash are <333333
