Went to see Hellboy II. I liked it. Fun and cute, though I did like the poor tragic prince bestest. Something about a suffering prince, man. They're always fun.

Then I bought two shinies at the bookstore. I have got to have the oddest collection of reference books. Two new additions:

The Element Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures. I initially picked it up just to poke at for a bit, and I'm kinda of annoyed that I didn't see 'til I got home that some of the pages are loose, but oh well. It's pretty thorough, and I've wanted a decent bestiary for awhile.

Medieval Wordbook is the other. Much shiney ^__^

They are also giving me awesome ideas. Especially one *.* We will see if I can do anything with it.

Then jawsgoose called, and I tagged along on her shopping trip ^__^ She was awesome enough to buy me a couple of things - one of them alcohol. w00t!

Now to ponder writings.

And story:

When I was in third grade, I got in trouble for losing my homework. I was supposed to go to detention. The lost homework was actually the fault of my parents, however, and they called my teacher and said this, and my parents being the awesome people that they are, they showed up to go to detention. We still have a picture of it somewhere, my big bad marine corp parents sitting in the itty bitty detention room ^__^
