Snickering filled the living room.

Archie glared. "You dumb cat. Listen to the ryhme - if he hollars, he as in cat, not he as in--fuck! Bad kitty!"

"Good kitty," was the rumbled reply, as the bad kitty in question repeated his rough caress, dragging his rough tongue across Archie's barechest. "You taste like the pool."

"That's because I was in the pool, you dumb striped animal," Archie replied. "Ouch! No claws! Bad kitty! Damn it, Ben!"

"You were the one grabbing my toe and singing stupd songs," Ben retorted. "Suffer."

Archie kissed him just to shut him up, because it was a stupid song but Ben had been lazy all day and he'd looked entirely too cozy lounging on the sofa.

Of course, he should have anticipated the pouncing.

Ben rumbled in approval, black and orange tail flicking against Archie's legs, decidedly feline ears twitching as he petted and rubbed and kissed in a way that only a feline could.

"I came to see if you wanted to come outside and lounge while I swam," Archie said.

"Stay inside with me," Ben said with a grin, licking his lips with his evil, evil tongue. "Then we'll go outside, but you'd better not push me in again."

"You look so cute wet and pouting, though," Archie said, then forgot what else he wanted to say as Ben divested him of his swimtrunks and reminded him why he really didn't mind getting pounced every now and again.

Though it didn't make him forget his plans to push Ben in the pool, which was probably what Ben had been hoping.
