  • Came very close to losing my job, because people I trusted are selfish, greedy, backstabbing nasty little liars. But, that's all right, because now they have to worry about their jobs.
  • JAMES BOND WAS FUCKING AWESOME <<<3333 Oh, Daniel Craig, you swiftly are becoming my for real true love, like srsly. The funniest part, to Sarah and I, was that they were flying a plane and crashed in the desert.
  • I have Stephen King's new book of short stories ^____^
  • Am taking the written exam for my driving permit tomorrow. Probably will fail it, cause I haven't had time this week to study more than half of it, but I know if I keep putting it off I'll never do it. So, will fail, and spend the rest of the weekend feeling stupid and pathetic, but so it goes.
  • Also got the first Outlander book. If I <3 Lord John so much, I will probably like the series from which he is spun? We'll see.
  • If the fretting over the test does not eat me alive, and the books do not distract me, I am hoping to finish Midnight this weekend. I've only got 20,000 words left, so I've no excuse for not finishing it

That is all.

For now, anyway.

- i have made dates to see James Bond twice
- hope you do well in your written exam!
- Diana Gabaldon has been a passing interest of mine since I saw her last name on the cover of a book years ago (she shares my middle name) and since you keep recommending the Lord John books, I got my hands on them and will probably get sidetracked from doing schoolwork by reading them.

*hugs you*

... you know I'm going to have to go see a Bond movie JUST so I can see this desert-plane-crashing. >.>

Don't fret too much about the test. Pretty much everyone fails it the first time. The sadistic fuckers people who issue them put the WEIRDEST rules in the entire rulebook on the test just to mess with your brain. (Did you know cows have the right of way in Idaho? Horses have the right of way in Oregon.) But at least the second time you take it you'll be forewarned as to the nature of the bizarre Ohio laws regarding cars and targets livestock. 9.9 I wonder if your state has online mock tests you can take... one of mine did...

*luvs on you* I have much strange goings on regarding work but I'm still so confuzzled that I'm having trouble putting it into words. x.@ Will have to update you later when I'm less wonky about it.

Wait... cows have the right of way in Idaho? Are they considered pedestrians now? I mean, I would give them the right of way because hitting one would total my car, but still... What's next, deer having the right of way?

I failed my written exam twice before I got it right, and even then, I only passed by one question. Once you do pass it, be sure to hit the actual driving exam hard and heavy so you can pass it during the time frame allowed and therefore don't have to go back and take the written! I had to do that and it sucked. =P

Good luck!

Hah! The truth always comes out! Mwahahaha! I am happy for you.

Out of curiosity, what did you think about Pierce Brosnan as Bond? Craig has the blues eyes ever, but I sort of think he's too rugged to be my ideal Bond... And perhaps because I grew up with Brosnan as the sole Bond. XD

Good luck on the exam! In many cases, the common sense answer is usually the right one. I barely passed mine--one more wrong and I would've had to reschedule. ^^;

To be honest, I never cared for Brosnan. I stopped watching Bond b/c I got sick of him. My favorite was probably Connery, and he still ties very closely with Craig. I dunno, I always had a vision in my head of what James Bonds should be, and Craig fits that exactly.

I like Daniel Craig, but James Bond is definitely evolving. I think Sean Connery will always be my Bond, closely followed by Pierce Brosnan. But Daniel Craig is hot for his own reasons. :)

Good luck on the driver's exam! I hope you don't suffer too badly.

Oh, and I have to say - Outlander and the Lord John books are a bit different. I started reading Lord John because, yes, I loved him in the Outlander series, but I read the Outlander series mostly because I have (and probably still have) a crush on Jamie. I have a friend from uni who also reads the series, and we always end up squeeing about Jamie.

Secretly, very secretly, I would like for Lord John to win his Jamie. But I know that's not in the cards. :(

Yay, writing! I know I haven't commented on Midnight yet, but I love it and I want to know more. Midnight himself intrigues me to no end. :)

*hugs* :( Stupid people. Why does the real world suck so much ass? I'm trying very hard to duck my head and weather through politics in my office too.

I LOVE YOU. I hope this makes you feel better. :x *huuuuuuuuuuuuuuugs*

Outlander Series = <3 <3 <3. I love them. Love, love, love. I've read the first few about three times.

And you would like the Lord John books. They're not quite as wonderful (fewer hot Scotsmen and spunky English ladies), but still pleasant.

Carry on.

*hugs* YOU WILL DO FINE. And if you don't do fine on the written part of the driver's test, then have your roomie drive you to another branch and take it again. Repeat until you pass.

Also, I can't wait to hear your opinion of some of the questions they ask. There are quite a few that just make me boggle.

I did fine on the written, despite the fact I'd read three different states' books (I've, uh, moved a lot) on how to drive and I couldn't actually remember the correct answer for the state I was in. Now the actual test, on the other hand, that I had to take twice. The second time, the guy let my "brushing the curb" slide, despite the fact it was more of a brush with elevation. Yes, I went over the damned curb. But you'll do great! Really! You can do it! *roots from the sidelines*

Went to see Quantum of Solace last night and laughed in the middle of the cinema as the plane was crashing and the two were hurtling down toward the ground with their single parachute... because I remembered your recent fiction Bond/Ardeth.

Got super funny looks but couldn't explain that one at all...

*grin* was also very amused by the plane crash in the desert. XD Couldn't stop grinning.

And written test is ick. I don't think anyone passes those the first time. I was totally freaked by the random questions I got on mine ("I don't CARE what security measures giant trucks have to take for their cargo, I'm doing the NORMAL CAR TEST!!" and "right of way for streetcars?! THERE ARE NO STREETCARS IN THIS CITY!! I have no intention of ever driving in a city that has them!".... yeah. I was rather pissed at that test).

So really, don't feel bad for failing it, the sadistic bastards want you to. Failing, depressed people make their day. Don't make their day..?

....more Midnight..? *starry-eyed* oh, that will totally make this crappy weekend better. <3

and nasty, backstabbing people at work (or anywhere, really) sucks. haven't been the victim, but there was an issue like that where I used to work. it's sad how you can't trust anyone in life. ;__;

So utterly completely off topic it's not even funny...but, I was going through some of the old sandstorm stories including some of the drabbles and some of the very naughty drabbles. And, I have a request! The next time you write 3some smut, please, please, please, write Beynum, Aikhador and Witcher. That would be so yummy.... :F

I think I might have mentioned this before???....

Thank you

Diana Gabaldon's other books, the non-Lord John ones, don't bother. I found them to be a waste of time and money.

Holy crap on a stick! You're getting a license? Woohoo!! ;-> No worries, as you have already read, many peeps don't do so well on their first shot. I think I had to take it twice.... but we were allowed three tries in one sitting, so I passed for the day.

Oh, and I'm dying to see the new Bond...
