*whistles*

Wish I had a way of getting names the way you do. The internet, sadly, does not offer many (if any) ways to find good names like these.

Hope you don't mind if I swipe a few. ^^

^____^ I am positively smitten with a few of these. All of them are lovely, too. Are they really for borrowing? *love*

EDIT: Ooooooh my goodness, it MUST have been a long day-- I typed boring instead of borrowing. -___- How that happened, I can't guess. Sorry for spamming you but it was a terribletypo! *dies*

Hehe, i found Calder a while ago at work and swiped it for my Affliction story. Which reminds me is sadly needs much attention, but i've been busy since January for my company is like a month long Black Friday.

It is fascinating to see what strange and/or cool names there are. What amazaes me most, though, is the fact how first names sometimes are family names (or the other way round). I mean, Sephronia? Sophronia is rare, yes, but it's a first name for women. Although, Sephronia reminds me a little of Sephiroth ... but that's a different story. ^__^

Hehee, and the German names! I'm always a little amused to see which German names have emigrated. Seifert, Hahn, Seidle, Ziegenhardt, Herzug ... But Reinoehl cracked me up. It's probably not a German name but it can be read "German", and then it would mean "Rhine oil" (the Rhine being a river). *giggles*

Names are so much fun!

Rhoten and Vidrick with the matchmaking pirate De Roch!

Well, seriously, some of them are neat, some look very DWTD Pit names, and geez wow that's a long list. I'm seeing some major Germanic influenced names in there? Not that it matters in the realm of fantasy.

I happened to see a last name called Erasmus at work the other day.

See, and I find that name common, considering it's a family name.. huh.

Well, but it's not at all common where I live, so...

Hey, those are cool names! :) I notice some Dutch or Belgian ancestry in there, too.

Also, lately I've come to realise that I have access to awesome names as well, since sometimes for my job I have to work with our member database. Maybe I should start collecting names as well, because it's so much easier than trying to create them yourself. XD

Wow! Can I own you?!? Then I can get these names on demand.
All of them sound so wonderful and very medieval (though I don't know what those names should sound like). Personally, names are not my strongpoint.

I once knew a Rani!
Oh, just thought I should mention this. From 'The troll' in 'Fairytales slashed' I loved the name Giles and have decided to name my kid so. Pretend like you care, K?

But that's totally awesome ^__^ Giles is a rockin' name.
