I bought this book expecting it to be dumb and amusing, but I actually could not hate it. There are things I could nitpick and shred, but I'm content to say that given it's a vampire book and the whole forced marriage thing, it was not too bad at all.

Caved and started reading The Accidental Sorcerer by K.E. Mills. It's really good so far. The weird thing is that I tried to read a book she wrote under a different name, and totally hated it. I never got past the first couple of chaptes. I really like this one though, and if I finish it may go grab the second one. Gerald, the MC, is total love. I just need to stop slashing him with everyone, heh. The book makes me want to do a similar premise, the whole wizard stuck in bad kingdom for X reason. Shall have to one day, hmm.

After that, I must return to Sword of Truth before my mother kills me.

Oh! I also read The Temptation of the Night Jasmine by Lauren Willig. It's the fifth in Secret History of the Pink Carnation series. They are kick ass books. They are fucking awesome books. They are the reason that romance is an awesome fucking genre, and she is so very high on my list of writers whose autograph I would love to have. My favorite remains Seduction of the Crimson Rose with Deception of the Emerald Ring in second, but I love them all. Already I want book six. They are funny, clever, sweet, intelligent and unashamed of the fact they are romances. Srsly, I love these books.

In other news, I have German Chocolate Cake coffee. ^___^

Man, I do not want to go to work.

Let us know what you think of Accidental Sorcerer in the end, I read it recently and thought it started well but by the end I wanted to tear it up :( plot and characters just seemed to break down and become annoying.

I wanted to order the ebook you suggested, but for some reason their site keeps logging me into someone else's account when I try to check out. I am not about to give my credit card info to a place where that happens.

Sigh... of course it would screw up for me. -_-

I apologize in advance

if this results in anyone being annoyed about adding more books to their to-read list. But I just read and adored the first two Fallon Mates books by Jory Strong, _Binding Krista_ (not particularly bdsmish) and _Zaarec's Miracle_ (not religious, but I loved the 'miracles'). Overall slightly cheesy (what sf erotica isn't?) buy cheerful and hot. Only thing in the books that mildly irked me was one of the heroes being offended at being asked if he was gay. There's a third in the series, Roping Savannah, which I haven't read yet.

Thanks for the recommended read, I really did like it. It actually had me laughing outloud in some places. Very enjoyable read. Thanks.

As someone who buys alot of e-books, is there any particular sites that you would rec? I've bought from Loose Id, Ellora's cave, and Torque Press before and have had no problems, but I'm always a little wary of giving out credit card info to strange sites. Any particualr books that you can't live without?

I just finished reading The Accidental Sorcerer last night, and, omg, I love it. I can't wait for my payday in two weeks so I can buy the sequels. I love Gerald, he's so woobie.
I have that problem with Gerald too... He's just so slashable. Except with Shugrat. That just makes me shudder because he's, like, *old*.
