Less Than Three
Apr. 8th, 2009 06:55 amAlright, so here's what I've been working on for the past year or so - in conjuction with
rykaine and
nikerymis. We wanted to do things our way, so we're going to give it a try:

It's small right now, a very simple serial fiction site. We hope to expand once we have a firm grasp of things.
For the moment, however, stories available are Bound and a new collection of Fairytales, beginning with The Beast but eventually to include several others (including The Huntsman). Starting today, readers who sign up can read through chapter 3 of Bound and the first part of The Beast, as well as a bonus short story The Admirer(which is set in Kiss the Rain verse)
We've been working very hard on this, and really hope to see it become something awesome. Take a look if you're interested, any support is most appreciated ^__^
If you have questions/concerns/etc feel free to drop us a line, here or through the website.

Date: 2009-04-08 05:32 pm (UTC)You were good ^__^ Someone else, I might have gone "..." but you were fly. It will go up as we add more stories, but I always want to keep it affordable.

Date: 2009-04-08 01:35 pm (UTC)I had a couple of questions though:
Are you still going to put stories on your website, or are they now going straight to Less Than 3? I assume the stories posted there wouldn't be available on your website (like not even in the future)?

Date: 2009-04-08 05:34 pm (UTC)They'll pretty much be LT3 now. And, eventually, we'll have ebooks and stuff in addition to the serial thing. This was just our best starting point.

Date: 2009-04-08 03:12 pm (UTC)Otherwise, awesome.
By the way, I do have a question, how will this effect your occasional book-bound published book? Because while online is good, it is not as awesome as holding a shiny new book in one's hands. :)

Date: 2009-04-08 05:35 pm (UTC)We will eventually. This suits all needs best, atm.
My books will now be published through LT3, when I start publishing. That's one of our near-future goals, after we've gotten steadier on our feet and stuff.
Nice Site!

Date: 2009-04-08 05:36 pm (UTC)Eventually LT3 will be putting out ebooks and print books. It's one of our near-future goals, but we want to get the hang of what we're doing, first, before we start that - it's way more complicated as an official business vs. self-publishing, and way more expensive.

Date: 2009-04-09 01:31 am (UTC)Just some clarification. I have a PayPal account but the registration page you all have posted is not a secure webpage so I don't want to sign up and risk someone hacking into the system and nabbing my info. But, I would love to register and support you all. Is there anyway you could get the registration page to be one of those secure pages? (They sometimes start with https, or some variation). Also, dead tree format books will be sold from this press, but will they be still available on Amazon? Or, only from here from now on?

Date: 2009-04-09 01:51 am (UTC)After you enter the account details for registration, you're directed to a page that has a link to PayPal form. The PayPal form is secure and is where you enter your PayPal details. We never touch, see, or store any of your PayPal details or payment information -- that's all handled on PayPal's end.none of this. The only information we store is the account details you enter on the first registration page.

Date: 2009-04-09 03:31 am (UTC)I saw Less Than Three on your LJ this morning and ran right over to sign up. I just finished "An Admirer" and LOVED IT!!!!! I really hope you finish the Kiss the Rain rewrite next. Now I'm off to go read Bound and the Fairytales- I'm sure they will be equally awesome. Good luck with this!
