drabble - midsummer smut
Apr. 11th, 2009 06:24 pmIntended as a cheer up, or at least a distraction, for Ree. Hopefully it is not too horribly awfully late.

Low padded into the house, claws clicking on the hardwood floor. Shifting, he closed and locked the back door, then retrieved the sleep pants that Peter had left for him.
When he'd gone out to visit and check on the various members of his pack, Peter had been mired in sick children and fretful mothers—Low had hated to leave him, but Peter did not need babysitting and he had his own duties.
He sniffed the air, pleased to find there was no one around save his mate. The scents of other people were already faded, which meant they had been gone a couple of hours or so. Following the stronger, deeper, vastly more appealing scent of Peter, Lowell quickly found him in the living room.
The sight before him made him smile softly, fondly. Peter had obviously had every intention of waiting up for him, completely disregarding his own exhaustion. Like Low, he wore only a pair of sleep pants—the pair Low liked best on Peter. Faded blue, worn thin, loose enough they only barely stayed on.
Peter was stretched out on the deep sofa, a book discarded on his chest, a cup of coffee on the floor within easy reach. His glasses were on the armrest, in danger of being knocked off as Peter shifted in his sleep. His hair was damp from a recent shower, disheveled from a rough towel drying. He could not be deader to the world.
Moving into the living room, Low moved the glasses, book, and coffee safely to the side table. Then he combed a hand gently through Peter's damp hair, smoothing it out, before moving to trace the lines of Peter's face. Sitting there, the house quiet and calm, he spent a couple of minutes enjoying the chance to simply touch and pet and admire, to bask in the simple, happy comfort of his mate's presence.
His mate who should be in bed, after spending a good fifteen hours awake tending to the influx of sick children and their anxious mothers. But, Peter being Peter, he had chosen to wait for Low over going to bed.
"Peter," Lowell said, gently shaking him. "Wake up, let's go to bed."
Sleep-soaked eyes blinked up at him, Peter rumbling and muttering about wanting to see him, but he went without protest as Lowell slowly guided him upstairs and down the hall to their bedroom. Once there, he got Peter in bed, out of his pants, and comfortably settled. Then Low went back downstairs to make certain everything was locked up and secured, and that the light and emergency bells in the medical section were all on, should someone come in the night—or, rather, morning. It was going on two am.
Everything seen to, he snagged Peter's glasses and returned to the bedroom. Setting the glasses on Peter's night stand, he shucked his own pants and crawled into bed. Immediately Peter, still fast asleep, moved toward him, murmuring words too soft to catch as he twined around Low.
Smiling, breathing Peter's scent, Low sank into sleep himself.
He woke some time later with a start, and the scent of lust already thick in the air, sunk into his nostrils to the exclusion of practically everything else. "Peter—" the word came out rough, sleep ragged, and he dropped his head back down on the pillow with a deep groan.
"Good morning, Low," Peter murmured, laughter in his voice as his hand slid away from Low's cock. Crawling up the length of his body, Peter nibbled at Low's jaw, laughing more when Low made sleepy noises of protest and encouragement.
Low turned his head just enough to take a proper kiss, completely uncaring who had what kind of morning breath—except that Peter tasted of blueberry coffee and pancakes. "I guess you've been up for awhile," he said, voice moving quickly from sleepy to awake. "Feeling rested?"
"Quite," Peter replied, and punctuated the word with a harder, deeper kiss.
Growling a bit, Low sank his hands into Peter's hair to hold him firmly in place, need and want and mine flaring up, hot and sharp, and he took full control of the kiss, reaffirming his claim. He shifted his hold to wrap around Peter's body, then moved, rolling them, reversing their positions, then plunging back into the hungry kiss.
Peter moaned beneath him, willing, eager—happy. Low would never grow tired of seeing and smelling and feeling Peter's happiness. The deep, crushing depression that had so long weighed Peter down was five years gone now, and it was Low's mission in life to see it stayed that way.
He tore away from the delectable mouth to put his attention elsewhere, focusing on the fine throat bared to him, growling again as he began to suck and lap and bite.
"Don't—" Peter tried to say between groaning and laughing. "Don't leave marks," he finally managed when Low left off his throat to start on his chest. "I get teased mercilessly when you leave marks."
Doctor Belongs to Wolf—that was a headline Low never ceased thinking, and if liked to brag about, well who was going to mind or stop him? He hid a possessive smile by returning to his work, leaving a livid mark on Peter's chest that would more than likely go unnoticed by everyone else. Then he moved lower still, nipping, sucking, licking his way down the length of Peter's body.
Once upon a time, he had thought it beyond impossible for Peter to ever want him—but even then, when his life was a strange, hellish thing, part of him had known Peter belonged to no one else. Peter was Low's, bone deep.
Drawing back, he stroked and teased Peter's cock and balls, before slipping fingers back to tease further.
"Low—"
Chuckling, Low moved away just long enough to get what he needed from his nightstand. Fingers slicked, he left off teasing for driving Peter wild. When he had Peter writhing and gasping and begging, he withdrew his fingers and lined up his cock, then pushed in hard and sure.
"Yes—Low—" Peter half hissed, half gasped the words, clinging to Low for dear life, fingers digging into his shoulders.
Leaning further down, Low kissed Peter thoroughly, lost to the taste and the scent, the look and the feel. Breaking the kiss, absorbing the sight of Peter so thoroughly drunk on passion, he finally began to move with deep, hard thrusts—exactly what they both liked after their respective obligations kept them apart for days at a time.
They came within moments of each other, and Low could not honestly say who had come first. He groaned when he finally withdrew from Peter's body, collapsing alongside him and drawing Peter close to settle together in a tangle of sheets and limbs.
"Good morning," he finally rumbled, nipping affectionately at a bit of shoulder.
Peter gave a huff of laughter that turned into a yawn. "Do you have any plans for the day, Low?"
Low pondered the question, but those few things he did have, were small and worth putting off for the day. "No," he replied. "You?"
"Only whatever emergencies drop by," Peter said. "Otherwise, my plan is to stay right here for as long as possible."
"Sounds like a good plan," Low said, shifting a bit to settle more comfortably so that they could snuggle and doze to their hearts content, until the real world finally intruded.

Date: 2009-04-12 12:42 am (UTC)It was ridiculous. And now I'm all sleepy. I have been a total blob all day, after I finished packing up 16 boxes worth of books, two of my damned stuffed animals (why do I have so many? I do not know) and a massive box of most of my desk. And there is still like a million things to go, and I really do not feel like being more than a blob ^^;;;; Bad Megan.

Date: 2009-04-12 12:45 am (UTC)I feel like being a blob too, but I also kind of want to make cake. ^__^ With real butter-cream frosting. But I think I'm not going to, or someone else will end up making cake with the weird marshmallow fluff based frosting (which isn't bad, but it's not butter-cream). Maybe I will go and make some coffee or something.

Thanks for sharing.
