The only bad thing I did was sleep in 'til noon (well, I woke up at nine and just didn't move 'til noon, but still).

We hung out with Goofy and Miki and her relatives, had some very yummy steak and corn. Washed it down with two smirnoff and made the mistake of starting Greg's copy of Timeline. Mom, I got right to end of the chapter where they find that weird message. And now I really really really really want to keep reading it. I knew I should've brought that with me.

Am far more upset than I thought I would be about not being able to make it home. The image of my family sitting around having fun and catching up without me is somehow very depressing to me. I think I must have some sort of family complex, b/c I don't know anyone else that gets this upset. Ah well, "I'll get over it" is what a certain Brat would say so I guess I'll try.

Off to create lj's.

Greg has the book Timeline, as opposed to the movie? I want to see that. Does what I'm talking about have anything to do with what you're talking about?

lol. Yes, except that as per usual I've heard the movie more or less ruins the book.

I think normally the book spoils the movie 'cause it can't ever live up to it. But I think I know what you meant.

If I want to like a movie a whole lot, I'll avoid reading the book because then I'll be disappointed by the movie. Unless I think the movie's going to suck, in which case I read the book anyway. There have been lots of movies based off books that are really pretty good on their own (but I bet if you read the book first, then they suck). If it's not a book I would have read ever anyway, then I really don't mind.

Let me know how good the Timeline book is once you've finished it ^^ If the movie isn't very good, I'll know I chose poorly. Not that I'd have time read it anyway since I'm currently re-reading the Coldfire trilogy.

You make a good point. I know there are movies I've liked and never read the books for. But then again I did like the Jurassic Park movies (second one not quite as much) but I read the books as well. Guess it depends how much you like the book.

I'll let you know, the results should prove interesting.

Tell my wife to come over and get you, then you can lounge on our couch and finish reading it.

Sounds like fun. But if I do that I'll definitely never get anything written.

No one said I could!

Its very rare that I'll just "stop by" to someones place. I usually wait until I'm "invited over", "ordered to be there," "my presence is requred." (I think you get the point.)

still an idgit. I think they said it was a shame you didn't come - Greg said he'd told you (I think). But they said they're doing something else in June. You'd better come then, you're the only one I haven't met yet.

Nobody invited me either. I tend to adhere to your outlook on that.

So all I got was lousy yummy jambalaya in Oxford.
Though, I did hang out in Oxford with Nick and look at guns (as I posted) which was cool.

Of couse, I could have been dissuaded from that which some might think would have been a good idea.

You both should have just come over (well okay I shouldn't say that, but my impression was that anyone was welcome).

Well I often call people first, but not always. I figured I wouldn't disturb them because family was visiting this weekend.
But if you are not yet aware, I'm easily invited, err . . . manipulated, no scratch that. Make that invited. So if ever something fun is going on or you need to know that or need access to my movie collection, there you go.
