Speaking of not on the list, I was surprised to see Jekyll and Hyde wasn't on it. Along with more of Dickens - but then I just read'em. I don't know what decides they're classics.

Date: 2004-06-01 07:22 pm (UTC)and you're right. 'jekyll and hyde' wasn't on there. i don't actually think i read it. i've seen it on broadway and in the movies but i don't ever recall reading it. dickens i think is an aquired taste for some. some books i love, others were very dreadful.
i was surprised more of jane austin wasn't on there too. hmmm.
