Discovered this article (at the bottom of post) through the ever intersting yaoi comm. HP Slash is going through another wave of offending people (at least to me it seems to go in waves). What amuses me is that I don't think these people are brave enough to read the stories that would truly frighten them. I should them the Infamous Toast Fic. Actually, I might. If anyone needs to be locked away, it's the unstable mind that wrote that fic *shudders*

It always amuses me when I read articles like this and the examples they use are from stories I've read. Rhysen is fairly well known in the potterverse I believe, and Irresistable Poison is a kick-ass fic.

I read a Trigun yaoi dojin once...wasn't very entertaining.

I've got 4 & they all deal with Hermione. One she apparently summons a tentacle monster, two deal with the being an anime cat girl (based on what happened in the 2nd movie), & the 4th I think she just gets molested by Harry.

Trigun isn't the best for yaoi. I've got a very nice yaoi-ish wallscroll, but that's where it ends for me.

lmao. Poor Hermione, another victim of the ever-present tentacles. At least it was Harry and not Draco. I saw a really pretty picture once of Hermione and...ah, no. my bad. Cho and Ginny is the picture I'm thinking of. I'm usually content to just let Hermione and Ron stay together - even most slasher don't mess with that one (and we're known to mess with everything).

It's true that most slash reads more like a paperback bodice ripper than like hard-core porn--Rhysenn's stories, for instance, are heavy on tortured descriptions of moony-moony desire with just a few detailed blow-by-blows (note to Hogwarts headmaster: if the broom shed's rocking, you might try knocking)

It's not as bad as most articles either. At least they acknowledge the fact that we age up the characters most times, and that -- shock, horror! -- it's not all about porn.

the whole moony-moony line had me cracking up. especially the "blow-by-blow" I think I need to read less of the fandom b/c all I see is a badfic with the porn being watched and reported on a la quidditch matches.

Mmm, I was glad they made a point of that - even if they seemed to do grudgingly. I really would kill to see their faces while they're reading it.
