So my life in general
Jun. 22nd, 2004 02:01 pmI'm getting awfully lazy about stating what I do from day to day. Then again I seriously doubt anyone wants to hear about all the stuff I do. Still, some of this is amusing
So Saturday I went with Sarah, JD, and Tony to see Dodgeball. Not always a huge fan of Ben Stiller movies but I have to say this one was a riot. Def worth seeing, though I got a bit ill over the snippet after the credits. Still really want to see Around the World in 80 Days and The Terminal but our week is booked pretty solid so we'll see if we get a chance at all.
Sunday! Called the fam, said Happy Father's Day to my dad and then talked to my other sibs, especially Brandie and her trip about Spain. Sounded hella cool, I wanna go now! And to my family: SEND MY PACKAGE!!! Ah, but my fav part of Sunday: Sarah's dad and brother took us boating with them, on this lake that's a good 30-40 minutes away but def worthe the haul. Better still? I got to drive the boat a bit! Aaand Robbie was tubing at the time and I managed to wipe him out! Point for me! This definitely is encouraging my dream of someday owning either a beach or lakehouse. With a boat and uber hot boatman (swimsuit optional).
Am slowly working my way through This Rough Magic, which is apparently the second in a series called The Heirs of Alexandria. I've raved about these books before, and I'm going to do it again. If you want a fuck cool book that is so very much about the characters and throws in magic and mayhem then get the first book, which is calledThe Shadow of the Lion, and you can be happily addicted with me. Erik and Manfred alone make reading the first book worthwhile, even if you don't get into the overall series.
Am writing various things - I am not in a mood to stay put today so I worked off some energy cleaning a little bit upstairs and now I'm floating b/t work on Handcuffs, Lost & Found, and making notes for a couple of new stories.
