Samurai 7

Watched the first two episodes of Samurai 7 last night. It's interesting. Basically take the original movie, turn it into anime, bishounenize about half the samurai, add an OSC, then throw in evil aliens and mecha.

Like I said, interesting. Not all bad, but it would be better if they'd stop getting happy with the CG. The Angsty Bishounen seems cool, if only b/c he's decently old (and a weird sort of pretty. Not really bishounen pretty, just pretty. very weird). I wish the OSC would take a long walk off a short pier, but when don't I want that?

Back to writing I go. Which reminds me.

Would possible participants be more interested in a fluff contest or would a fluff challenge suffice?

I like Samurai 7, too. :) It's interesting, and since I've seen the original, it's amusing to see what they do with it. The angsty older samurai reminds me of Geddoe from Suiko 3, actually. And I'm amused that the young samurai is Ed's voice actor. I did the "Is that...? It IS!" thing during the second ep.

He does bring Geddoe mind. And thank you, the voice was driving me nuts last night. Now if I could just place that weird villian guy's voice (otakyu? something like that) I could be at peace.

I didn't recognize him. When I'm home I'll have to send you link to a pretty good fan-kept directory for voice actors. It's good for finding everything that someone's done.

I've only heard of Samurai 7, so I can't add anything to that. By the way, what's OSC? Original side character?

HOWEVER, I do know fluff. Far too well. Sign me up. Either the contest or the challenge would be cool.

Sorry, OSC is me speak. I forget not everyone knows it -_-;; OSC = Obligatory Stupid Chick. I am not fond of most of the females in games and anime.
