I can imagine the lectures I'm going to get for this. But I don't fucking care. I'm tired of it, Sarah I know is fucking tired of it.

So I got a call earlier today, from the Book Exchange (the store S' dad owns). It was robbed. So I called Sarah, she called the police there at the store. She picked me up and we went to the store (I went along in case she had to leave to get plywood for the door, which was busted out). The woman in charge had her sign the report, gave us some numbers, and then left.

The guy there however wouldn't shut the fuck up. First he lectured us on the whole thing. Then he babied us over the fucking gun her dad keeps there. Then he decided to tell how to fix the fucking door, then he did all of that over again.

Then S' dad and his (coworker?) decide that S and I are too fucking imcompetent to take care of things and proceed to play a futile game of phone tag, when if they'd let us manage things we could have finished all of this about an hour or so sooner.

But whatever. I'm going to get yelled as a man-hater, or for being bitchy. I don't care. I know I'm not out of line. I would really like to understand why when stuff comes up, women are suddenly reduced to incompetent. And don't mistake me - I'm no feminazi or anything. YOu'd be surprised how much I dislike them. But I'm intelligent, capable, and competent. It really stings to be treated like a moron just b/c men feel the need to have pissing contests about everythig.

You think I'm mad, Sarah had to deal with most of it. Ugh. About the only men I can stand right now are the ones in my stories.

Are you sure it was gender that was the factor, or maybe it was a bad case of "stupidity" that seems to be getting around & should be given epidemic status?

Assuming no one was there when the place was broken into, I figure the guy was pissed off about it & needed someone to take the aggrivation out on & you two just happened to be the "lucky" ones. Or maybe he's just a stupid fuck. I dunno, I wasn't there.

I can kinda see about the gun, since you were with "Miss Klutz", who would probably shot herself in the foot if she tried using it, though I would probably just mentioned it was there (to make you guys aware of it, incase you didn't know) & tell you to leave it alone.

It was definitely the gender factor. I'm all too aware when I'm being patronized to for having tits. I don't mean to sound bitchy or anything, but it really is *depressing* to be treated like that. Especially when all we wanted to do was help.

Sarah's clumsy, but she's not that clumsy. The damn thing was in its bag and zipped up anyway. We knew it was there, we had no plans to touch it. Repeated lectures were not necessary.

Probably should have left the asshole to fend for himself, then.

I have seen women do similar things to men when it comes to babies, so it does occur in both genders. I just chalk it up to people being stupid & not with the times.

It wasn't just one, it was three of them

But you have a point. I guess stupid is stupid.
