I arrived at work to wind up in the middle of a heated discussion on the existance of the Naked Cowboy. A few of the guys still refuse to believe he's real. Another guy wanted to know if he had a sister.

Yesterday on our way to dropping me off, Sarah and I were stopped just behind and to the right of a minivan. Didn't see the driver or anything, because we were too busy laughing and leering and what to most people would probably be nothing more than a cute bumpersticker: Got Twins?

People (at work) seem to think that b/c of the way I do things (generally expressionless, quiet, rapidly) that I either hate my life or at least my new job. They don't seem to get that *coughunlikethemcough* I don't need outside entertainment while I work. They? Chat and goof off while they work, to pass the time (which is fine, don't get me wrong). I happily go on my way picking watches, alternating b/t story thoughts, happy thoughts, and smutty thoughts. My own mind is my favorite playground. XP

On an unamused note, msn is being a righteous bitch >_< So [livejournal.com profile] rykaine et al. I am sorry if I keep vanishing.

Mmmm twins!

Do you mean the Naked Cowboy as in the guy with the guitar and underpants?

*leer*

Yeah, him. Some of the guys don't think he really exists. It was kinda funny how into the discussion they were.

Nope I've seen him. Never actually in person but on tv and I know of people who have seen him. He's kinda off his nutter though dancing around in his underpanst.

:nodnod: As a fellow introvert, I sympathize. The human "default" setting seems to be "socialization = happy". It's what most people do, and what most people expect of others. Thus, if you're not socializing, then you must not be happy. And if that's how THEY feel, then they usually can't see that others might not feel the same way, at least not at first. It's really hard, I've found, to convince extroverts that, no, really, I don't care that I don't go to the bars or talk on the phone constantly or have someone over every night. I'm happy! Really! I can amuse myself! ^__^

They don't believe in the Naked Cowboy? *gasp* Well, let's set them straight, shall we? My friend recently went to New York and brought back pictures. Guess who she saw?

Indeed.

*snort* Got Twins? Nice...

Agh, the curse of the introvert. 'Course, it's always amusing to come back from your mind to the people around you thinking that you're having some sort of disassociation episode or that you've become unconscious. Amusing to no end. But, yes, my mind is my playground; it is -- to take a page from "Hannibal" (the book, not the God-Awful movie) -- my own house, mansion, castle, labyrinth. :)

You quoted Hannibal. You rock my socks.

Ahaha! I should print that out. I think it would disturb a great many of them.

You know Hannibal? *loves* That has to be one of my favourite books ever, which makes me so incredibly sad whenever I hear anything about the movie. Eegad. Just...no. No. *shudders*

You should print it! Although it's a tad fuzzy. But yes. Believe in the Naked Cowboy, for he is truly no myth. ^_^

I love that book. I wound up skipping class because I just couldn't stop reading it. Yeah, the movie...I didn't loathe it, but it could have been better.

Only in America.
