So. Sarah, after work, greets me with the news that Ikon is going to offer me a position at one of their sites (A law firm downtown, I believe). But they haven't called yet. Do I stick w/the warehouse or let the staffing firm know I won't be in tomorrow?

Ack, well. I should probably go tomorrow at least. I left the HP audio book in my locker, thinking it was easier to keep it there rather than haul it back and forth every day.

If I'd known Ikon was finally going to get around to calling me, I would've just spent the past week or so writing. ARGH. One of these days I will learn patience.

Stick with the job you have until you have a confirmed start date for the next job.

In any case, a week worked is another paycheck so it wasn't wasted. Merely waiting for "the call" is never a good idea.

I agree. Stick with the job until you get a definite offer. Plus, the money will be useful. And now you can say you did grunt work, so no one can call you a white-collar wuss.

(And surprisingly, that has happened to me before. Then I tell people I waited tables for two years while going to school and that shuts them up.)

Work till the other job starts, just in case. If anything, you keep steady income going.
